Chapter 31: Strange Things
Chapter 31: Strange Things
"call……"
Lying on her bed in the room, Loila felt a little relaxed.
The matter with the Ministry of Magic is completely over; I no longer need to worry about Dumbledore breaking down the door because of this.
In other words, I can finally take a real rest... or rather, I should say I can finally start preparing for Lord Grindelwald's plans.
But where should we begin preparing?
Loila was thinking about the future of the UMNO party when she inadvertently thought about what the soon-to-be-ended summer vacation meant.
I'm about to go to Hogwarts as a professor, which means... I'll be just as busy every day as when I was working with the Ministry of Magic.
Loila didn't find teaching students to be an enjoyable experience... She definitely couldn't do it when faced with so many children like Miss Lovegood!
But I've already promised Dumbledore... If I go back on my word now, he'll definitely be angry... He might even send Hagrid to eat me, or turn me into a teacup with his wand.
Loila looked at the ceiling with some worry. Being prepared for the worst is always a good quality, but Miss Hamilton was more accustomed to thinking about things in the worst possible light.
Well...thinking doesn't seem to solve the problem... There are still thirty days until school starts, let Loira think about what happens thirty days from now... Miss Hamilton needs to relax for now.
After comforting herself, Loila slowly got up and took out her Space Stretch Book.
For her, the best way to relax was to study magic circles... although her work at the Ministry of Magic hadn't yielded any valuable magic circle artifacts, and Dumbledore wasn't as good as Miss Lovegood... at least Miss Lovegood had taken her to Newt's place...
and many more……
What is this?
Loila took out a small notebook from the page containing various odds and ends.
Is this mine? It looks dirty and tattered... Who put their accounting notebook here?
Loila carefully held the notebook and placed it on the table.
Could this be some kind of prank?
Loila frowned slightly, her blue eyes filled with confusion.
She gently opened the notebook and saw a name on the title page.
Tom Marvolo Riddell...
Who is this?
Loira had never heard of this person, neither now nor fifty years ago, so why were his things with her...? Should she hand them over to the Ministry of Magic...?
Loila had no intention of collecting such a dirty doujinshi, especially since it didn't even contain any content...
But wait a minute.
As Loila opened her diary, she suddenly realized something, her eyes widening in disbelief.
This is no ordinary diary!
This is a notebook engraved with a whole book of magic circles!
That's right, a whole book! Loila was astonished to discover that every page of the book was engraved with magic circles, and...
This is an energy storage magic array, this is a spatial magic array... What kind of magic array is this?
and this!
Loila's hands, which were holding the notebook, were trembling slightly, and her pointed ears were shaking with excitement.
There are magic arrays on it that are not the ten types of magic arrays I recognize. These are magic arrays that I don't recognize and have never seen before!
Alright, Loila says she now has a hobby of collecting tattered blank diaries... As for returning them to the Ministry of Magic... please, the Aurors at the Ministry of Magic don't understand the value of these things, and besides, Mr. Riddle didn't write anything down... It's not too late to return them to him after I've finished studying them.
With this in mind, Loila rubbed her hands together and took out her wand.
She gently waved her wand, illuminating all the magic circles in the diary. Following the blue patterns, she began searching for the ancient runes at the center of the new magic circles.
If I were familiar with those ancient magical runes, I might be able to guess their purpose.
With this in mind, Loila carefully examined the extremely complex magic arrays on each page... and to her delight, the ancient magic runes were of a type she had never seen before.
This illustrates one thing: the value of this diary is constantly soaring!
Loila wants to hug Dumbledore and kiss him right now! Of course, she still wants to defeat Dumbledore later! But anyway, thank you, Mr. Albus Dumbledore from Hogwarts, for your work in giving me this diary.
I don't know how I got it!
But Loila didn't want to know; all she wanted to do now was bury herself in her diary and study it.
And that's exactly what she did.
As her observations deepened, she began to discover some interesting things.
There are two magic circles appearing on every page of the paper... This means that each page of the paper has two magic circle effects... So what is this effect?
Loila paused for a few seconds, then suddenly slapped her face: "Miss Hamilton, you're such a fool... This is a diary! Why don't you just write something down and you'll know?"
Loila waved her wand, took the quill, and then lightly dipped her finger in ink to write a sentence on the first page of the diary.
"For the greater good." Her handwriting was not good; it looked more like a child's handwriting, and due to prolonged high-speed writing, it was also particularly messy.
But these words, once written in the diary, gradually faded and then... disappeared.
Oh no... Could this be some kind of evil contract...? Loila suddenly realized that she seemed to be getting a little anxious. Could it be that she had made a contract with some dark creature... and was being drained of her life force to serve it...? She seemed to have seen such a plot in Mr. Lockhart's works.
How did Mr. Lockhart resist at that time?
Should I use a bright smile or a bottle of Bird Snake Egg Yolk Shampoo? I'm not very good at smiling... but Bird Snake Egg Yolk Shampoo is too expensive...
Loila's thoughts wandered off to strange places, but her diary quietly underwent a change.
"Who are you?"
Faint words appeared on the diary, and Loila looked at them with some surprise.
Is this... the diary speaking? Or is it me talking to someone else in the distance?
Loila pursed her lips and quickly picked up the quill pen.
Don't get me wrong, she wasn't in a hurry to reply to the diary... She gently wrote down the ancient magic script she had just copied onto another piece of parchment.
Could the function of this spell be related to communication?
She heard that the Magical Congress in America seemed to have some kind of magical artifact that could enable long-distance communication, requiring only two pieces of paper that could communicate using a magic circle.
Could this rune symbolize long-distance communication...? Look closely, the rune on another magic circle is extremely similar to this one. It seems... these two runes correspond to each other?
In just a few minutes, Loila had already discovered two brand new runes and their meanings... and there were quite a few more such runes in the diary.
This is simply a huge treasure trove...
Just as Loila was studying the ancient runes, several sentences appeared in her diary.
"are you still there?"
"Hello?"
"I am Tom Marvolo Riddell."
"Who are you?"
"Ah..." Loila felt a little nervous as she looked at the words that came one after another...
But thinking about it more carefully, the other party might just be a laptop... which makes me feel much more relaxed.
