Chapter 416 The Libre de Soi team arrives
Two days later, at Beijing Capital International Airport.
Li Wenbin and Zheng Jiaming led the large team assembled by Libre de Soi for this debut in China, and their chartered plane landed smoothly.
This team can be described as a "multinational force" and an "elite collection," including core designers drawn from headquarters in Paris, Milan, and New York, senior publicity planners, experienced factory workers (responsible for post-production garment finishing, show maintenance, etc.), and carefully selected models from both the East and West, totaling approximately 250 people.
There are about 150 models, two-thirds of whom are female, so you can imagine how dazzling and glamorous the show will be.
Lin Yan had already made all the arrangements.
Lin Xiao mobilized ten spacious and comfortable buses, as well as several Cadillac sedans, forming a sizable convoy, which waited quietly near the tarmac.
As soon as Li Wenbin and Zheng Jiaming stepped out of the cabin, the slightly chilly autumn air of Beijing hit them, but they were oblivious, their eyes immediately locking onto the familiar figure standing beside the car.
"Ayan!!" Li Wenbin was still the most impatient one. He dragged his suitcase and ran over, circling around Lin Yan for a bit, his eyes wide open.
"My God! You...you haven't changed at all! Tell me! Did you steal some elixir of immortality from Laozi? Or did you find the legendary Fountain of Youth?"
Zheng Jiaming appeared somewhat composed, but after getting closer and carefully examining Lin Yan, the shock in his eyes was equally undisguised.
He pushed up his glasses, his tone filled with astonishment:
"Ah Yan, the way you look is practically a 'provocation' to us normal aging humans. It seems that not only your career, but even time itself is showing you special favor."
Lin Yan was already used to this kind of reaction. He smiled and took the fist that Li Wenbin threw at him, then nodded to Zheng Jiaming:
"Jiaming, Wenbin, you must be tired from the journey. Perhaps the lack of an elixir is just a sign of a carefree spirit. Let's go, let's settle everyone down first."
He is always methodical in his work.
First, they directed buses to transport more than 150 models and over 100 staff members to several high-end hotels near Wangfujing that had been booked in advance.
In the hotel lobby, Tang Liuqian briefly explained the arrangements to the team leaders:
"There's no work scheduled for today, so everyone can rest and adjust to the time difference. Tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM, team leaders and core members will meet in the hotel conference room. The detailed agenda will be distributed later. Lunch and dinner will be delivered to the hotel restaurant or your rooms; you can choose whichever you prefer."
Lin Yan specifically instructed Lin Xiao, who was accompanying him:
"Lin Xiao, take good care of everyone's meals. There should be both Chinese and Western food, and it must be plentiful and clean. Do your best to meet any special needs."
"Understood, young master, don't worry." Lin Xiao calmly replied and immediately began arranging for people to make the contact.
After settling the group in, Lin Yan personally drove Li Wenbin, Zheng Jiaming, and Tang Liuqian away from the hotel, heading towards the courtyard house on Dongxinglong Street.
On the bus, Li Wenbin kept talking excitedly about the interesting things that were happening during the preparations, as well as his boundless anticipation for the fashion show in the Forbidden City.
Zheng Jiaming was more concerned about the details that might be encountered in the actual implementation, and he exchanged opinions with Tang Liuqian in a low voice.
Back at the courtyard house, before even entering, we could hear Xi Xi's clear laughter and Chen Chen's babbling, along with Yang Xi'en's gentle coaxing and Xiao Qi's occasional "woof" in response.
Pushing open the door, I saw Yang Xi'en sitting on a rattan chair in the yard, gently rocking a cradle with one hand. Chenchen was sleeping soundly inside, Xixi was sitting on her lap, playing with her necklace, and Xiaoqi was lying lazily in the afternoon sun at her feet.
Sunlight streamed into the courtyard, creating a peaceful and beautiful scene that was truly captivating.
"Sister Xi'en! We're back!" Li Wenbin shouted in a loud voice, instantly breaking the silence.
Chenchen in the cradle was startled and her little mouth twitched, tears welling up in her eyes.
Yang Xi'en looked up, her eyebrows furrowing. "How old are you? You still have no sense of propriety! I finally managed to get you to sleep, and you woke me up again!"
Li Wenbin and Zheng Jiaming immediately went over, exclaiming, "Whose baby is this? He's so cute!"
Lin Yan showed off once again.
"He's my son! Li Wenbin, you woke him up, you're responsible for soothing him! Otherwise, he won't get lunch!"
Li Wenbin quickly picked up Chenchen from the cradle. After all, he had been a father before, and he was quite skilled at holding and soothing babies.
Zheng Jiaming also eagerly wanted to see the little dumpling, and the courtyard was immediately filled with the joy of a long-awaited reunion and the sounds of children being teased.
Lin Yan and Tang Liuqian stood aside, watching this heartwarming scene, and smiled at each other.
The following morning at nine o'clock, in the conference room of the Wangfujing Hotel.
At the head and second-highest seats of the long conference table sat Lin Yan, Tang Liuqian, Li Wenbin, and Zheng Jiaming, respectively.
The core team members, who had gathered from all over the world, were already seated, but at that moment a faint rustling sound and subtle exchange of glances could be heard.
Most of the team members had never met Lin Yan; they had only heard from a few founders that the company had mysterious major shareholders who wielded absolute power.
Now that he was right in front of them, these designers and artists, who deal with aesthetics, proportion, and color all day long, almost instinctively held their breath the moment their eyes met his.
It was a kind of beauty that transcended gender, almost like a work of art, and without any artificiality, but rather contained a calm and commanding demeanor.
He simply sat there, like a masterpiece painting with well-placed blank spaces, captivating all who looked away.
Several young visual designers even secretly sighed in their hearts:
With the boss's looks and demeanor, if he were to walk the runway himself, he would likely be a complete "game-changer" for all the professional models present...
Lin Yan ignored the infatuated looks from the employees below the stage.
He gestured to Lin Xiao to distribute the prepared documents.
It was a stack of meticulously drawn sketches and renderings, clearly showing his complete stage design and venue layout plan for the Grand Show at the Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City—from the stage structure, lighting flow, and audience seating arrangement, all telling the details of the dialogue between this fashion show and this 600-year-old building.
After everyone had a copy of the blueprints, Tang Liuqian cleared his throat and, as the meeting's chairperson, began to speak:
"Ladies and gentlemen, here are the preliminary stage design and overall environmental design plans for our grand show. This is a special creation based on the unique venue of the Forbidden City. Please review them carefully. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or notice any areas for improvement, please feel free to speak your mind. Our goal is to work together to create an impeccable event."
As soon as he finished speaking, the audience snapped out of their brief daze at the boss's good looks and quickly immersed themselves in the world of professional blueprints. The conference room was filled with the rustling sound of pages being turned carefully and increasingly engrossed hushed discussions.
