Chapter 33 The Wizard, Too Conservative
Chapter 33 The Wizard, Too Conservative
Owen knew that he was Dumbledore, whom he had brought back to Hogwarts from the Ministry of Magic. It was also Dumbledore who sent him to study with his powerful old friends. So, when he learned that Dumbledore was troubled by Voldemort and even secretly plotting an extremely dangerous plan, Owen was also making his own arrangements.
It's no secret that the Malfoys are Death Eaters; Hagrid will say anything when he's in a good mood, and he's unaware of it himself.
Originally, Owen was preparing to strengthen the students of the powerful school so that they could fight back when a crisis came. That's why he led the Slytherin snakes to get up early for morning runs and practice spells, and then guided the young wizards of the other three houses so that they could make use of their strengths.
But after half a semester, Irving is almost at his breaking point.
Slytherin's belief in the supremacy of strength has been established, but they show no intention of uniting. If something were to happen, they would be like the Calabash Brothers whose grandfather had been captured by the gourds, being sent up one by one...
Gryffindor, they are united and courageous, but in terms of their strength... they might not even see the big boss before falling at the feet of elite minions.
The Ravenclaw eagles may have enough knowledge, but they have no intention of turning that knowledge into practical skills. This is typical scholarly thinking: I only need to know, I don't need to do it myself.
The Hufflepuffs, on the other hand, have turned their honesty and diligence into dullness. To this day, not a single Hufflepuff has discovered that kitchen magic is actually no less effective than dark magic.
Of course, none of this made Owen despair, because more than a decade of peaceful life could change many people's consciousness, and with so many young wizards from Muggle families who were unaware of the magical world crisis of more than a decade ago, it was all normal.
What truly drove him to despair was the conservative mindset of the wizards in the magical world.
Even wizards from Muggle families, after coming into contact with magic, will forget their greatest asset and turn to a conservative magical mindset.
When the Dark Lord wreaked havoc in the magical world, not a single person thought of using a gun. What? Does having a stick make you invincible?
If it's really that powerful, then what's being hidden shouldn't be the magical world, but the Muggle world!
So even now, Owen still can't understand where the wizards' inexplicable confidence comes from? And what gives them the right to look down on Muggles?
In this magical world, what kind of magic can compare to 650 rounds of 7.7x56mm bullets per minute?
It's just that he was born too late. If he had been born a few years earlier, Voldemort wouldn't have been qualified to be called the "Second Dark Lord," and those Death Eaters wouldn't even have had the chance to go to jail!
As for the Ministry of Magic's actions... Owen could understand them quite well. Once a wizard becomes a Ministry of Magic official, he becomes a different kind of being, and it's not surprising that he would do anything.
After having lunch at the Malfoys' house, Owen returned to Hogwarts, bringing back quite a few gifts. Everything else was fine, but there was one notebook that he was very concerned about!
There was no need for Old Ma to use magic to create a red arrow to mark it; Owen noticed something strange about this magical notebook at first glance!
Ignoring Molly, who was busy unwrapping gifts, Owen returned and immediately sealed the magical notebook in a vacuum cabinet he had made. The alchemical kitchen utensil, originally intended to help preserve food in the kitchen, was first used not for ingredients...
"The magical world is never short of surprises!"
After a brief sigh, Irving got involved in unwrapping the gifts, with even Devil Vine coming to help.
The gifts exchanged between young wizards are usually not very valuable; they are mostly sweets and the like. After these are opened, they are handed over to Devil Vine to sort, and then delivered to the headmaster's office together. The old wizards love these things.
The gifts from the professors, however, were much more valuable!
Professor Snape gave her a bottle of Felix Felicis, along with a notebook filled with numerous potion recipes and a note that read, "If you can't concoct all the potions in this notebook, you're not qualified with me."
With that aloof demeanor, if it weren't for his greasy hair, he would probably be the most popular professor in the school!
Professor Sprout gave us a seed of a golden sycamore tree!
This is incredible, because this magical plant doesn't exist in England. If Felix Felicis is a "lucky potion," then the Golden Phoenix Tree is a "lucky tree," because having it is like possessing a phoenix, since phoenixes love to nest in this tree. If you get a phoenix egg...
Professor Flitwick sent over two notebooks, one about spells and the other about wizard duels, which were very useful!
Professor McGonagall sent over the content on how to become an Animagus, along with two years' worth of the internal publication "Transfiguration Today".
Mrs. Pomfrey brought a healing spell, while Mrs. Pince brought an application form for the restricted section of books.
When Owen was unwrapping the last gift and saw that the giver was Harry Potter, he was stunned for a moment. In his mind, his relationship with this savior didn't seem to be very good. In fact, his punishment of Ron had made the savior unhappy.
Even so, he gifted himself a Nimbus 2001.
When Owen opened the note under the broom, he burst out laughing. It turned out that the broom was a gift from Harry on Ron's behalf, asking for his permission to allow Ron to skip the closed-book exams in the future History of Magic exams. The note also specifically instructed that Ron must not find out about this...
Tsk!
This kind of mindless friendship!
It's actually quite enviable...
"Meow!"
Molly saw through the little wizard's thoughts. Without even opening the gift, she put her head into the little wizard's arms and twisted it back and forth. Then, with a smooth tilt of her head, she rested her head on the little wizard's shoulder and snuggled close to him!
"Of course, Molly, we'll always be best friends, but could you please stop going after Little White? Even though it's also a level 5X, you really can't beat it."
"Meow!!!"
Molly got angry and ran away...
Irving, on the other hand, calmly and deliberately handled the gifts, then placed them in their respective places.
"Huh? Did the headmaster go through so much candy?" Owen looked at the almost empty cabinet, putting away candy as he said to the portrait, "Headmasters, you should advise Mr. Dumbledore that eating too much candy isn't really a good thing."
"Kid, you're meddling too much. The principal is the one who should be... uh!"
When Irving looked up, the portrait no longer showed Principal Black; instead, several other principals were crammed into the same portrait, smiling at him.
Principal Delis even said to him, "My dear, your smile is like healing magic. Perhaps you should go to St. Mungo's."
Owen chuckled. The headmistress had said this many times before: "If there's anything I can do to help, I'll definitely go. You know, I may not have much else, but I have plenty of magic."
After chatting with the portraits of the past headmasters for a while, the young wizard left, and then the headmasters dispersed, revealing Headmaster Black, who was tied up. Despite his condition, he was still stubborn and glared defiantly.
"Wow!!!"
"Ugh!!!"
"Hahaha!!!"
Because it was a holiday break, the young wizards who stayed at school didn't have to attend classes, so they naturally went wild. Not only at the castle, but even at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, there were many young wizards laughing and playing.
To be honest, it's a bit noisy...
But Owen did not stop it, just as the former Minister of Magic, Ms. Millison Badler, had said, he had no right to deprive anyone of the right to happiness.
Therefore, he now needs a relatively quiet place where he won't be disturbed to conduct some... dark magic research.
Molly: Let me see, who didn't vote?
