Chapter 164 The Arrival of the Scavenger Fleet!
Chapter 164 The Arrival of the Scavenger Fleet!
Three days later, in Earth's outer space.
The space rippled like the surface of water.
Immediately afterwards, warships of different styles, exuding a rugged and dilapidated feel, emerged from the jump tunnel.
Like a swarm of sharks drawn by the scent of blood, they surrounded the azure Earth.
This fleet is practically a mobile space junkyard.
Some warships were covered with menacing rams and spikes.
Some were crudely pieced together from the wreckage of several warships from different civilizations.
Emblems from other civilizations still remain on the ship's hull.
This is what a "scavenger" is.
A group of outlaws comprised of survivors who failed the "Civilization Test," wanted space pirates, and criminals exiled by their mother civilization.
They struggle to survive in the gray areas of the universe, adhering to the most primitive law of the jungle.
The fleet's flagship is a "stitched behemoth" pieced together from the wreckage of hundreds of warships.
It is several times larger than the largest aircraft carrier on Earth.
On its chaotic and filthy bridge, there was a humanoid creature with two horns on its head, dark red skin, and a burly build.
He was sitting with his legs crossed on a throne made of bones and metal.
He is the leader of this scavenger fleet—"Tyrant".
Bloodshot eyes peered greedily through the porthole at the vibrant blue planet below.
A hoarse laugh came from his throat.
"What a beautiful planet... full of life."
"Compared to those resource-rich planets we've squeezed dry, this is paradise!"
An adjutant with an octopus-like head gave a fawning report to his superior.
"Chief, according to the scan, this nascent civilization has a very low energy level and doesn't even have a basic planetary defense system."
"Haha, then what are we waiting for?"
The tyrant kicked aside the slave beside him and stood up.
He spread his arms wide, his face displaying undisguised arrogance and cruelty.
He directly activated the public communication channel.
He transmitted his ferocious face and arrogant voice directly to the Earth Alliance's command center.
"Listen up, newborns below!"
"I am the 'Tyrant,' your new master! Now, I give you a choice."
"Hand over the core of your world, offer up all the mineral resources of your planet, and select half of your population as slaves."
"Then, Your Majesty the Great 'Tyrant,' you may consider letting your civilization linger and eke out a living under my feet."
Su Chen stood on the bridge of the Kunlun, calmly looking at the arrogant face on the screen.
Instead of responding immediately, he made a decision that surprised everyone.
He ordered that the tyrant's image and his ultimatum be broadcast live simultaneously to every survivor in the dungeon via a global network.
When the tyrant's insulting words and hideous face appeared on all the screens.
The panic Su Chen had anticipated did not materialize in the underground city.
After a brief silence came overwhelming rage!
"Slaves? You want us to be slaves?"
"Who do these bastards think they are to point fingers at us!"
"Kill them! Alliance Leader Su, kill these sons of bitches!"
Having experienced the baptism of divine punishment and the end times, and having personally witnessed the "miracle" created by Su Chen.
The human spirit has been forged into something incredibly resilient. They are no longer the fragile civilization they once were.
Faced with this new threat, an unprecedented fighting spirit ignited in their hearts.
"It seems everyone is in agreement."
Su Chen's lips curled into a cold smile.
He still did not respond to the tyrant, but instead gave an order to the weapons officer beside him:
"'Heavenly Sword' System, Rule Disturbance Missile, Target Alignment, Launch."
He wanted to test the waters first, to see just how capable these outlaws who had been roaming the universe for hundreds of years really were.
On Earth, missile silos hidden in mountains are being opened.
Dozens of newly upgraded rule-disruption missiles, trailing long plumes of flame, broke through the atmosphere.
Like a swarm of vengeful swords, they hurtled straight towards the scavenger fleet in outer space.
The tyrant looked at the rapidly approaching point of light on the star map and let out a disdainful sneer.
"Primitive chemically propelled missiles? Did this civilization just crawl out of the Stone Age?"
He didn't even bother to have the frigates fire to intercept them.
The bow of his flagship, the "Stitched Beast".
An inconspicuous device lit up with a faint light, and then emitted an energy wave invisible to the naked eye.
A bizarre scene unfolded.
All the missiles flying in mid-air seemed to have been decomposed the moment they came into contact with that energy wave.
Whether it's the warhead or the propulsion unit, the internal energy and molecular structures are forcibly dismantled.
It silently decomposed into its most basic parts and dust in space.
The bridge of the Kunlun was deathly silent.
Everyone was stunned by this incredible "energy structure disintegration" technology.
This is a crushing victory on a technological level!
Although the scavenger fleet looked dilapidated, they had been wandering the universe for hundreds of years.
The technology they pieced together was far beyond what Earth, which had just begun to grasp the threshold of the universe, could compare to.
"It seems you have chosen to refuse."
The tyrant's voice rang out again, this time filled with a chilling rage.
"Since that's the case, then I'll show you what true despair is!"
He seemed enraged by Earth's "resistance" and casually pointed to a frigate.
"Give them a shot, hit their neighboring planet, and let them know what happens if they resist me!"
The frigate's secondary guns began charging.
A thick beam of energy, even more dazzling than the sun, suddenly shot out!
The target is the moon, which hangs in the sky above the earth and has accompanied human civilization for millions of years.
"boom--"
There was no sound, but it was in everyone's sight.
The surface of the moon was instantly blasted into a huge crater with a diameter of over 100 kilometers!
The entire moon was shaking violently, and countless fragments of rock were thrown out, forming a brief ring around the moon.
The terrifying blow caused everyone on Earth who witnessed it to gasp in shock.
They finally realized that this was no longer a "test," and there was no second chance.
This is a brutal, life-or-death war of civilizations!
The tyrant was pleased with the Earthlings' reaction. He grinned maliciously and prepared to order a general offensive against Earth.
Just then, something unexpected happened.
On the far side of the moon, in that eternal shadow.
A massive shadow, even larger than the "stitched behemoth," filled with sleek lines and sci-fi aesthetics, slowly drove out.
That was the "Kunlun," which was not yet 100% complete, but whose main structure had been built and was ready for combat!
Su Chen's icy voice resounded in everyone's ears through global broadcasting:
"Fellow countrymen, our homeland needs to be protected by ourselves."
"Kunlun, prepare for battle!"
