After counting the pele and confirming the amount was correct, the boss bowed almost ninety degrees and said obsequiously:

"My esteemed guests, I will arrange for the transport of the precious tree 'Adam' immediately. Where should it be delivered?"

Lei Luo nodded slightly. "Send it to the best and largest shipyard in Water Seven."

"Okay, no problem." The boss beckoned to an employee, gave him a few instructions, and the employee immediately ran off to arrange for someone to transport the wood.

"Esteemed guests, is there anything else you need? We have everything you need here, and if you don't find it, we can help you find it."

The boss maintained his bowed posture; making money is nothing to be ashamed of.

Lei Luo smiled calmly and said, "I do have something I want."

"Your Excellency, please speak."

"I want two Devil Fruits, the Castle Fruit and the Door-Door Fruit."

The boss looked embarrassed. "I really don't have that, but I can try my best to ask around in the underworld for you."

It was expected that there wouldn't be any, and Lei Luo didn't mind. He smiled and said, "Alright, then I'll trouble you, boss. As soon as these two fruits appear, please be sure to let me know immediately. The price is negotiable."

"Okay, okay."

The boss nodded repeatedly; this was a valuable customer, a real money-maker.

"By the way, distinguished guests, there will be an auction here in a week. You two may go there to see if there is anything you need."

"Okay, then boss, please get us some good seats."

"It should, it should."

Chapter 9 Unexpected Person Joins the Fray

Moving such a large log was extremely difficult. Kaido thought they were useless and used his own flame cloud to deliver the precious tree "Adam" to the shipyard.

Kaido enthusiastically described his requirements for the pirate ship to the shipwrights.

This was the first time I'd seen Kaido with this expression; after drifting like duckweed for over twenty years, he was about to finally have a place to call his own.

Kaido's excitement and elation were palpable.

Lei Luo crossed his arms and watched with a smile.

The young dragon is quite interesting.

After hesitating for most of the day, Kaido finally chose one of the design blueprints.

After paying the deposit, Kaido and Raylo left the shipyard satisfied.

Such a large ship originally required two months to complete, but Lero used Baileys to smash it, reducing the time to one month.

On the way, Kaido clapped his hands and suddenly realized, "Rello, did we forget to equip the ship with weapons? How can a pirate ship be without cannons?"

Lei Luo didn't forget; rather, he felt that this thing was dispensable. No matter how many cannonballs there were, they wouldn't be as good as Kaido's dragon breath.

But if Kaido wants to pretend, so be it.

Lei Luo smiled and said, "We'll just buy some on the black market later."

"No no no."

Kaido's expression was very serious. "How can we settle for less? I know a scientist. I'll call him and ask him to come and help our pirate ship with weapons."

Lei Luo raised an eyebrow. "Who is it?"

Kaido replied, "Quinn."

It really was that funny fat guy, but Lei Luo didn't have much hope.

In the original story, Kaido invited Queen in 1489, but Queen didn't officially join the Beasts Pirates until 1496, abandoning his ten-year-old son. It took a full seven years for him to agree.

I don't know why they like to abandon their wives and children so much; Yasopp did it, and so did Quinn.

(There is speculation that Quinn is Franky's biological father, but this speculation is not accepted here.)

Lei Luo didn't want to dampen Kaido's enthusiasm, "That's fine too, we can ask him if he'd like to come."

Kaido grinned and said, "Alright."

As he walked, Lei Luo suddenly realized that the current situation was different from the innocent Beast Pirates in the original story.

They're rich!

So he reminded Kaido, "Don't forget to tell this scientist that we have money, lots of money, enough to support him in doing any experiments he wants."

"Cheers...I know."

The two chatted and laughed all the way back to the pirate ship. Kaido couldn't wait to contact Queen.

To everyone's surprise, Quinn agreed and promised to come as soon as possible.

Money really is everything.

Even Vegapunk, who has the backing of the World Government, often complains about insufficient funding, let alone Queen.

On the fifth day in Water 7, the Beasts Pirates were met with their "plague".

He was a very fat man, and he was fat when he was young.

But behind this fat man, a small head peeked out—someone that Lei Luo had never expected.

Bagin Gum Stussy, also known as Bagin, is the prototype for the android Stussy.

Five years have passed since the Valley of the Gods, and Stussy is still radiant and breathtakingly beautiful.

However, Rello disliked this woman; Stussy was not only greedy but also ruthless.

She and Whitebeard spent so many years together in the Rocks Pirates, and God Valley has been so close; there must be something fishy going on between them.

Stussy certainly knew this, but her greed was even greater. Judging others by herself, she stubbornly believed that Whitebeard must have left behind a huge fortune, so she almost cruelly wiped out Whitebeard's remaining followers.

She's a complete femme fatale, showing absolutely no mercy.

Stussy waved with a beaming smile; "Sashiburi Dahna, Kaido."

Kaido replied irritably, "I don't recall inviting you, Stusi."

"Don't be so heartless, Kaido. We were once partners on the same ship." Stussy didn't care about Kaido's attitude at all and still smiled.

She overheard Kaido telling Queen over the Den Den Mushi that they now have a lot of money.

How could I not come?

She would rather Kaido lie and make a wasted trip than let go of even the slightest possibility.

Kaido remained expressionless. "Stop talking nonsense. What are you doing here?"

"Of course I'd join your pirate crew!" Stussy pouted, her little face looking pitiful.

"The Rocks Pirates have disbanded. Now, I am just a weak woman. How can I survive on the sea? Of course, I need to seek the protection of a strong person like you."

Kaido didn't believe a word Stussy said, but he found it very helpful.

Back in the Rocks Pirates days, Stussy was one of the earliest officers and had a close relationship with Whitebeard, so he held a very high position on the ship.

And I am just an intern.

Kaido turned to ask Leylo for his opinion: "Leylo, what do you think?"

Kaido still respected his first mate.

Stussy is young and beautiful now, good for casual sex, but if you let her on board, she might run off with the treasure one day.

Lei Luo pulled Kaido aside. "What are you thinking? I know what kind of person she is from my time in the Navy. You're on the same ship as her, don't you understand? Do you really think she'd genuinely join us?"

"why?"

Then don't blame Lei Luo for pouring cold water on the idea. "She might not necessarily call you captain. You were just an intern on the ship back then. Women have pride."

Lei Luo could actually understand Kaido's thoughts. It was like you were just an intern at a company, while she was already a manager. Later, the company went bankrupt, and you started your own business. That manager came to you for a job and had to call you boss from then on.

The sheer pleasure is so intense, just thinking about it sends shivers down your spine.

Kaido is only twenty-five years old, and he is in the prime of his youth.

Chapter 10 Stusi's Little Tricks

No matter what, we should give Captain Kaido some face, and it is indeed as Kaido said.

Stussy can't cause any trouble.

Kaido grinned and said, "Stusi, my vice-captain and I both agree to your joining us."
