Chapter 82 Professor X
Chapter 82 Professor X
Gwen and Bana went to the secret base that Spider-Man had stolen from Green Goblin, while Spider-Man, worried about his best friend's plan to beat him up, took his teacup to Avengers Tower, the only place where Venom could be kept inside and wouldn't be subjected to any terrible experiments.
There, Spider-Man learned about Thanos's invasion that morning, met Vega, and discovered that Gwen and Bana, whom he had just met, were looking for Vega.
Vega was angry at the two children for coming over so rashly, but at the same time he was also touched.
He gave the two a few light reprimands, and that was the end of it. After all, he hadn't discovered any major danger yet.
Instead of sending the two away, they were allowed to train alongside the Avengers.
This block world doesn't seem particularly dangerous overall, but there are quite a few supervillains. The Avengers have something to do almost every day, and they even encounter extremely powerful enemies from time to time that could wipe them all out.
The most powerful collector, for some reason, wants to capture all the superheroes and supervillains whose names contain the word "red," or who even wear red clothes, as well as dinosaurs and Santa Claus, and make them his collection.
Natasha's father, Red Guard Alexei Shostakov, was captured, and Black Panther, who had been secretly investigating, came knocking on their door, which is how the Avengers learned of the news.
Vega did not intervene, but observed the whole thing from the sidelines.
The Avengers, amidst much banter and close calls, rescued everyone. The Collector, who had only deployed robots to deal with the situation, left Earth cursing as the perfect collection became imperfect.
The collector didn't make a move, but Vega was certain that this guy's strength was at least at the high-level of the Heavenly Father, or even stronger.
Fortunately, the Collector wasn't interested in fighting; otherwise, he might have easily defeated not only the Avengers, but even Vega.
Two months passed quickly, and the Avengers and other superheroes resolved all the crises that had arisen. Vega, puzzled that the world-ending crisis had not yet occurred, decided to go home.
More than two months is a long time.
Spider-Man is a member of the Spider-Man League. He and Gwen have exchanged contact information, so if there's a problem, he'll get the news and come over.
After saying goodbye to the Avengers he had spent so much time with, Vega returned to their world with Gwen and Bana.
Having been away from home for so long, Xiao Shengxi was inevitably squeezed dry, and when she learned that her father and two older sisters had gone to a world made of Lego bricks, she clamored to go there to play.
Vega refused; the Lego world seemed to be designed for children and was meant to be humorous. But having explored the memories of the vengeful spirit Elimoro, he knew that world was actually extremely dangerous.
Little Shengxi had no idea about any of this. After being rejected, she started throwing a tantrum, rolling on the ground and crying loudly. Vega was so exasperated that he had no choice but to let Gwen take her to the Spider-Man League headquarters, which was much more fun than the Block World.
In the two months since I left, Earth has remained bustling, but nothing has happened that Vega should be concerned about.
After resting at home for half a month, Vega had Gwen obtain some unexplored cosmic coordinates from the League of Spider-Man before leaving this universe.
His experience with the world of building blocks gave him some ideas, so he decided to verify them himself.
A flash of fire appeared, and Vega was standing on a grassy field. Looking around, he saw weeds and trees growing all around him, with an ordinary cement road running through it and stretching towards the blurry town at the edge of his vision.
"Finally, this isn't New York anymore. I'm so tired of that boring city." The unfamiliar environment didn't make Vega nervous; instead, a happy smile appeared on his face.
"Huh, this world actually has the power of the Phoenix?" Feeling the Phoenix power within his body begin to surge, Vega looked eastward. An unseen sense told him that thousands of kilometers away, there existed a Phoenix power no weaker than the one within him.
The Phoenix Force within Vega surged more and more violently, attempting to transform Vega into a phoenix, trying to control him to fly over and merge with that force.
This was the first time Vega had encountered such a situation, but he remained calm and quickly mobilized the power of holy light to envelop the power of the phoenix, forcibly suppressing it back into his body.
It's true that the more Phoenix Force the better, but Vega knows very well that he is controlling the Phoenix Force, not the other way around.
This is important, and he cannot control such immense power at this stage; otherwise, he would lose control like Jean Grey and become a puppet of the Phoenix Force.
Vega spent some time calming the Phoenix Force, and then he noticed that the Phoenix Force in the distance had also returned to calm. Then, an aged, gentle male voice appeared in his mind: "Who are you?"
Vega did not answer, but instead used his mental energy to pinpoint the other party's location.
He quickly located the target and then projected his own will into the target's will.
The other person's figure also appeared; it was an elderly white man with a bald head, wearing a black suit and sitting in a wheelchair.
That familiar appearance, that terrifying mental power capable of turning every ordinary person in the world into an idiot in an instant—Vega instantly recognized who it was: "Professor X?"
Professor X: "It's me, young man. Who are you? And why do you also possess the Phoenix Force?"
"Young man? Hah, I only look young. I'm about the same age as you, Professor." Vega first reminded Professor X that it was inappropriate to call him a young man, then introduced himself: "I am Vega Lee. I come from another universe and am a time traveler. My Phoenix Force was a gift to me from Phoenix Woman in another universe."
"Hmm?" Professor X frowned upon hearing this.
He had experienced things and knew that other universes were real, but he couldn't understand why the Phoenix from another universe would bestow the Phoenix Force upon the person before him.
Professor X: "May I ask why she gave you the Phoenix Force?"
"Of course." Vega nodded. This wasn't an unreasonable request. Although he thought Professor X was too saintly, he had to admit that the other party was a good person, and building a good relationship with him would help him understand the world.
Vega compiled the information about the "Carnivore" universe and then transmitted it all to Professor X.
Professor X quickly finished reading it all, then couldn't help but sigh, "Why do they always do things like this?"
Vega shrugged: "That's normal, because the superhumans have shaken their rights. They don't want to be at the mercy of others, and they don't want to live in the shadow of fear every day."
