Chapter 35 The Chitauri Invasion - Part 6
Chapter 35 The Chitauri Invasion - Part 6
Seeing that Supergiant had "controlled" Vega, the super support who changed the course of the battlefield, Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, and Black Dwarf were overjoyed. They hurriedly took on multiple opponents to prevent the human alliance's superhumans from coming to the rescue, and the Chitauri soldiers also began to spare no effort to prevent anyone from getting close to Vega.
The superstar, dressed in a silver-gray hooded cloak and completely encased in a silver-gray bodysuit, quickly approached the motionless Vega. She reached out and placed her hand on Vega's head, injecting more mental energy into his mind in an attempt to control him.
The next moment, the superstar's expression changed drastically as she was horrified to discover that there was a vast ocean of spiritual power in Vega's mind, seemingly more boundless than the starry sky!
Seeing Vega's mocking smile, the superstar realized she had been tricked and immediately tried to teleport away, but it was too late.
Vega pulled the superstar's slender waist into his arms, letting her attack his armor with her weak hands and feet, violently pouring his vast mental power into her mind!
Superstar was shocked and immediately mobilized all her mental energy to counterattack, but the difference in the amount of mental energy between the two was too great. Even with all her mental energy burning, she could only barely withstand Vega's attack for the time being.
Due to the vast difference in their mental and physical strength, the superstar could only devote all her energy to resisting, which caused her flailing limbs to stop. With her feet dangling in the air, she unconsciously wrapped her arms around Vega's neck, rested her head on the side of Vega's face, and pressed her body tightly against Vega.
This scene stunned many on the battlefield. Unaware of the situation, they saw the superstar looking so demure and thought she had suddenly fallen in love with the tall and mighty Vega.
Seeing this, Ebony Maw and the other three realized that Supergiant was being controlled by Vega. Now it was their turn to be anxious, but because they had blocked several superhumans earlier in order to stop the human superhumans from rescuing Vega, the four of them couldn't escape now.
To them, Earth, with its backward technology and lack of connection to the universe, was just an uninhabited planet. They had slaughtered countless such planets, but they never expected to suffer a defeat here today.
They never expected that there would be so many powerful superhumans on Earth. Could this be the secret of the land of gods?
Seeing that the situation was becoming increasingly unfavorable for them, Corvus Glaive suddenly roared, "Loki! How long are you going to hide?! Our master is watching us! Do you want to betray him?!"
"You're asking for it!" Thor was furious when he heard Corvus Glaive say that to Loki, and he swung his hammer and smashed it down on him.
Loki has caused a huge mess. Thor didn't really care at first, because Loki is a prince of Asgard, and only Asgard can deal with him.
Thor originally planned to take Loki back to Asgard, imprison him in the dungeon temporarily, and then release him under some pretext later.
Thor thought this was already giving mortals enough face, but as he spent more and more time in contact with the superhumans in the human alliance, he discovered that the seemingly weakest mortals in the Nine Realms actually had so many powerful individuals that even he had to take seriously, and these superhumans he came into contact with were not all of humanity's high-end combat power.
The simple approach to dealing with Loki is no longer appropriate. Asgard is already too busy suppressing all other realms after losing the Bifrost, and we can't push humanity to the opposite side.
Loki has not shown himself since the Chitauri invasion, which pleased Thor. This would divert humanity's attention from Loki, and Thor could plead for leniency for Loki. However, Corvus Glaive is now calling out Loki's name at a volume that can be heard throughout the battlefield, reminding humanity of Loki's existence once again, which greatly angers Thor.
While fiercely attacking Corvus Glaive, denying him a chance to continue shouting, he prayed in his heart that Loki wouldn't be foolish enough to come out. He had no doubt that if Loki dared to come out, someone would take advantage of the battle to kill him.
If Loki truly dies on the battlefield, Asgard cannot blame humanity, since Asgard is in the wrong...
I don't know if Loki wasn't here, or if he was just unusually absent-minded, but he didn't show up.
Thor breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this, but Vega frowned. Without Loki coming out, they couldn't get the Mind Control Scepter from him, and the portal couldn't be closed.
The Power Stone in his possession could also close the portal, but knowing that Thanos was on the other side of the portal, he dared not use it.
With the Power, Space, and Mind Stones combined, Thanos would definitely be able to ignore the invisible intimidation of Odin and the Ancient One and attack.
Reality is not a movie. Vega, who is currently at the peak of the sub-Celestial Father level, is well aware of the terror of Celestial Father level powerhouses. Even if the superhumans present joined forces, they would have a hard time fighting against Thanos, who is at least at the top Celestial Father level.
Holding the Superstar, he ascended to a height and surveyed the entire battlefield, but unfortunately, the battlefield was too large and too chaotic, and he couldn't find Loki at all.
This is troublesome. The spatial portal has been open the whole time, and Vega feels completely unsafe. The Chitauri have been invading for so long, and neither Odin nor the Ancient One has shown up. Who can be sure that if Thanos really intervenes, these two big shots will step in to stop him?
Humanity has demonstrated considerable strength, and Odin, the God-King, may not be willing to waste his remaining lifespan for them.
Vega, the Ancient One, couldn't see through it all. The timeline of this world had changed because of him. Who knew if this powerful being would take the opportunity to trick him, shirk the responsibility of protecting this Earth, and then log off and run away?
He had just been swindled out of a big sum, and now he was about to fall into another equally bottomless pit.
After surveying the entire battlefield, Vega's eyes lit up when he saw Captain Marvel charging around.
Captain Marvel's power comes from the Space Stone, and of everyone present, she was the only one who could possibly penetrate the Space Stone's protective energy field and obtain it.
Thinking of this, Vega used his telepathic ability to communicate with Captain Marvel, who was still clearing out the war beasts: "Captain, the thing that maintains the spatial portal is the Tesseract. That thing has a protective energy field on the outside. It's possible that only you can pass through that energy field to get the Tesseract and close the spatial portal."
The sudden voice in her mind startled Captain Marvel. She looked around and quickly saw Vega nodding at her as he descended. Knowing he was one of her own, she headed straight for the nuclear power plant reactor where the blue beam of light was located without saying a word.
As she acted, Vega telepathically communicated with all the superhumans, saying, "Attention everyone, I am the healer. Captain Marvel, prepare to close the portal and hold off all enemies for her!"
