Chapter 4 Spiders, Lizards, and the Green Goblin
Chapter 4 Spiders, Lizards, and the Green Goblin
"No, this is impossible!!"
Shocked, Kurt Connors roared, his face contorted with rage, and raised his other claw to strike Mark.
However, Mark still casually grabbed the other person's wrist.
"Hey Bruce, wanna play a game with me?"
Mark forcefully grabbed Bruce's paw and pressed him to the ground, pretending to be angry.
"You're being naughty. Now is not the time to play games. We need to start hunting demons."
At this moment, cold sweat beaded on Kurt Connors' forehead, and fear was written all over his ferocious lizard face.
He was certain that if he continued, he would die.
This guy's strength is terrifying!
but.......
What did he hear?
Hunting demons?
Hmm, it must be the green devil!
That guy is annoying.
Then he grinned, revealing his blood-red mouth, and spoke softly.
"Gah gah... Ugh, haha, alright, let's go hunt down demons. I know where they are."
Mark was overjoyed upon hearing this.
"Well done, Bruce, you really are my good partner. Now take me to hunt down demons."
"Okay, come with me."
With Mark letting go, Kurt Connors finally breathed a sigh of relief and turned to climb out the window.
"Click click..."
He used his sharp claws to climb the exterior wall of the tall building, and when he turned around, he saw Mark doing the same.
The difference is that Mark can stick firmly to the wall even without sharp claws.
Kurt Connors seemed thoughtful.
Perhaps it was a test.
He suddenly leaped with all his might, breaking free from the wall and hurtling towards another building.
"Well done, Bruce, you jumped really high!"
Mark excitedly activated his movement skill.
"call out!"
As he leaped into the air, he flicked his wrist and shot out a web to lock onto the building opposite, landing steadily beside Kurt Connors as he swung.
Kurt Connors: "????"
How did this guy do that?
Spider-Man?
He was far inferior to this guy in both speed and strength.
He's clearly a lizard, and the other is just a spider!
If it really came down to a life-or-death struggle, he would have absolutely no chance.
With that in mind, Kurt Connors suppressed his restless heart and obediently led the way.
And so, the terrifying lizardman was forced to embark on a demon-hunting journey with the spider-man.
The lizards and "spiders" roamed and flew through the city, quickly attracting unusual attention.
SHIELD.
"Nick, we've found him. No, wait, there's another guy too."
In front of the monitor, Natasha, dressed in a black tight leather outfit, stared intently at the lizard and spider-man in the screen, her brows furrowed.
"Besides that lizard, there's another guy, well, he moves at high speed like a spider using something like spider silk."
Nick Fury strode into the monitoring room.
He glanced at the two guys in the picture.
His face was very dark.
It's always been black.
Therefore, Natasha couldn't read any emotion from Nick Fury's face at all.
Perhaps this is a necessary condition for becoming the commander of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Nick Fury then said, "I just received information that it wasn't this lizard that attacked the mental hospital."
Natasha glanced sideways. "So, after all this investigation, we've found the wrong person?"
"Not really," Nick Fury said. "We'll find out about this lizard sooner or later anyway."
However, we've made a new discovery: this seemingly strange Spider-Man just appeared on Mink Street, and he's also our target.
Upon hearing this, Natasha shrugged indifferently.
"Okay, so what do we do now?" she asked.
Nick Fury thought for a moment, "Keep monitoring them. Something's bound to happen when they get together."
"But surveillance cameras can't be in every corner of New York."
"Then you should take action yourself."
"I knew it would turn out like this."
Natasha sighed, "Remember, even with overtime pay, I still have a mortgage to pay off."
Since joining S.H.I.E.L.D., her life seems to be bound to something.
If they don't work, even superheroes will fall into the death row.
She then checked her weapons and equipment, and after leaving the monitoring room, she jumped into the helicopter.
"Nick, give me a location."
"clear."

Finally, the lizard and the spider arrived at the castle in the suburbs.
Beneath the full moon, the silent ancient castle is dark, terrifying, and evil; strangers should stay away.
A chilling atmosphere permeated the air.
You can even faintly hear the howling of wolves in the distance.
At the top of the castle, Mark quickly climbed to Bruce's side and gripped the longsword tightly in his hand.
You have caught up with Bruce. Mission complete. You have gained the skill: Jump (Level 1)
[Jump: Increases jump distance by 10%, consumes 1 stamina point per second, no cooldown.]
[Mission: Bruce has found the demon's lair, defeated the demon for the first time, and been promoted to Junior Demon Hunter!]
Mark was both excited and apprehensive upon seeing this.
After all, he was just a weak apprentice demon hunter and had no power to defeat a demon.
But with Bruce around, there shouldn't be any problems.
He took a deep breath, ready to face the terrifying demon.
Standing on high ground, Mark planned to use humor to mask his inner panic.
He laughed and said, "It's so high up here, perfect for cosplaying Ah Zu's Crescent Moon Sky Piercing Technique, but our mission is to defeat the demon, and I can smell the demon's presence here."
Kurt Connors: "????"
Forget it, this guy is crazy.
The most important thing is to settle accounts with Green Goblin.
Immediately, he slammed his fist on the concrete ground beneath his feet, quickly digging a hole.
"Damn it, get out here right now!"
His roar echoed throughout the castle, and just as he was about to disappear into the hole, a sudden surge of fire swept in.
"BOOM!!"
An explosion erupted, and a violent heatwave sent the lizardmen flying.
The mysterious witcher easily withstood the onslaught of demonic power, crying out for help.
"Oh no, oh no, I'm going to die! Bruce, save me!!"
Kurt Connors, who landed awkwardly, was left bewildered.
Damn it, this guy has a histrionic personality disorder!
Before he could curse under his breath, the steel demon's skateboard-like flying machine, shimmering with a green glow, slowly emerged from the firelight.
Beneath the demon mask, golden eyes were filled with evil and madness.
"Hahaha, Professor Kurt, are you planning to lose your research funding?"
Clearly, he already knew the lizardman's true identity.
Professor Kurt also knew who the other person was.
Norman Osborn, a guy with dissociative identity disorder.
Yes, he also has a high-tech demon armor and a flying machine.
They are all green.
This guy was the one who attacked the mental hospital!
He looked up at the other man's haughty demeanor and said coldly, "I don't care how you fight with S.H.I.E.L.D. You attacked the mental hospital out of revenge, but I didn't. I need you to prove that to me."
"I never said you did it." Norman was a little confused; he wasn't the kind of devil who would lie and not admit his mistakes.
Professor Kurt didn't care, "but the news said so."
Norman shrugged. "Never mind, that's not important. What's important is, what are you planning to do?"
"Of course, I'll kill you!"
"But I funded your experiments. If I die, you won't have any money left."
"Then I'll teach you a lesson!"
Are you deaf?
Norman suddenly let out a strange laugh, "You can hit me, and I can cut off your research funding."
Upon hearing this, Professor Kurt slapped his forehead.
"A generous gift of crabs—is this the price of using regeneration agents?"
IQ dropped to zero.
Peter's help was indeed needed to perfect it.
