Chapter 498 Sirius Black and the Screaming Shack
Just as Sirius had said, after Snape left, Sirius signaled everyone to put down their wands, ending the dueling club session.
When everyone left the auditorium, almost no one was alright; everyone had some kind of injury.
Ron walked with a limp, still hurting from the accident Crabbe had pushed him off the platform.
Hermione's expression was also a bit grim. Although Monta, who had been thrown out by Siren, had taken Millison with her, a spell she had cast earlier had still managed to tangle Hermione's hair into a complete knot. Her already somewhat messy hair had now turned into a huge, chaotic tangled ball of yarn.
Then there's Neville, whose arm is broken, and Dean Thomas, whose legs are stuck together, can only hop forward. It was Celeste who saw this and helped him break the leg-sticking curse.
"Th-thank you—" Dean breathed a sigh of relief. "Damn Sabini, hopping around is such a hassle."
As for Harry, needless to say, his two prominent front teeth are still sticking out.
Of the familiar Gryffindors, only Seamus and Sirius were completely unaffected, aside from Sirius.
He looked extremely happy, waving his wand around incessantly, scaring everyone around him away, as if something might explode at any moment.
"Sirlen, can't you really help me turn my teeth back?" Harry couldn't help but ask as he watched Sirlen untangle Hermione's tangled hair.
"It's possible, a shrinking spell can solve it," Siren said. "But I'm not sure if your teeth will shrink back to their original size or become even smaller after using the spell. If they just disappear, you'll have to drink Bone Elixir."
Harry couldn't help but shudder. "I think I'll go to the school hospital then."
"But didn't Sirius help you restore your teeth to their original state?" Sirius asked doubtfully. "He must have known how to do it."
When it was over, Harry was left behind by Sirius, and Sirius didn't know what they talked about.
"Sirius was trying to help me—" Harry said, "but Professor McGonagall came, and I've never seen her so angry, so I quickly left."
"Of course—" Hermione said irritably, "With hundreds of students injured to varying degrees within an hour, it's no wonder Professor McGonagall is furious."
"Hermione," Harry whispered, "Sirius didn't really expect it to be like this. He... he just wanted us to practice the Iron Man Charm."
"Ha—" Hermione let out a cold laugh. Clearly, she held a completely different view from Harry.
But it was Sirius Black after all, and considering Harry's cautious demeanor, she took a deep breath and refrained from saying anything more hurtful.
"However, I'm afraid I'll have to think carefully about whether I should participate in the Duel Club next time—I'm serious Harry, you have to admit, Sirius can be really reckless sometimes."
Before returning to their dorm, they decided to accompany Harry to the school hospital so that Madam Pomfrey could help restore his two front teeth to their original state.
However, there were more people at the school hospital than expected, with the line stretching all the way out into the corridor, and groans echoing throughout.
Harry shrank back. No matter how much he favored Sirius, he had to admit that Hermione was right; he had indeed acted too recklessly.
And judging from the queue ahead, it will probably be a long time before they get to see them.
And with curfew approaching, Harry gritted his teeth and used the Shrinking Charm on Siren.
"Are you sure?" Siren took out his wand. "I must warn you, the taste of Bone Spirit is not good. One sip and you'll never forget it."
"It's okay." Harry took a deep breath. "At least we can go back first and come back tomorrow when there are fewer people."
"Alright then, since you've made up your mind—shrink quickly."
Fortunately, Harry's front tooth didn't disappear completely. Although it still looks a bit strange, it has at least returned to its normal size.
Once the crowd has thinned out, Mrs. Pomfrey can then rest and recuperate.
So the group returned the way they came, heading towards the Gryffindor common room, and discussed along the way whether Sirius would be punished this time.
"As long as I don't get expelled—" Harry sighed worriedly. "We just agreed that he would take me to the Shrieking Shack next time Hogsmeade Week."
"You guys want to go to the Screaming Shack together?" Sirius, who was walking in front, stopped and turned to ask, "Was this Sirius's idea?"
“Yes,” Harry nodded. “Sirius said it was their secret base when they were in school. They, Sirius, my dad, Lupin, and—they went through a lot of exciting things together there, and he wanted to tell me everything there.”
Thrilling and exciting?
Xilun raised an eyebrow—well, that's not wrong. Lupin transforming into a werewolf and fighting a dog and a deer in a small room is indeed very exciting.
But then he suddenly remembered something else: Sirius Black must have been bitten when he turned into a dog and fought against Lupin the werewolf, but he didn't turn into a werewolf because of it.
Does this mean that Animagus will have a completely new body and soul after transforming?
Oh no.
Xilun quickly shook his head.
Now doesn't seem like the time to think about these things. Instead, Sirius wants to take Harry to the Shrieking Shack—what are they going there for, really? Is it just a return visit?
As everyone knows, the Screaming Shack is located on the very edge of Hogsmeade Village, even more remote than the Hog's Head, and no one pays attention to it all the time.
"Harry, when did he tell you all this?" Siron asked.
"They said it a long time ago," Harry said, "but he just brought up the idea. He said my dad would be very happy if he knew I beat Malfoy."
James Porter?
He had a grudge against Malfoy back in school, could it be Lucius?
Thinking this, Xilun continued walking forward.
Soon they arrived in front of the portrait of the fat lady on the eighth floor.
Hermione gave the password, the portrait opened, revealing the passage behind it.
When they went in, a small banquet was taking place inside.
At the Duel Club, there were noticeably more Slytherins sent to the school hospital, which Fred and George thought was worth celebrating, so they brought out cookies, cakes, and drinks from the kitchen.
They absolutely loved the duel club and are looking forward to coming back again.
This infuriated Hermione, who immediately rushed over and chased away everyone celebrating there without saying a word.
