Chapter 69 Eaten by a Toad
Chapter 69 Eaten by a Toad
Things happened too suddenly and too fast. Zhou Fengchen had barely uttered the word "run" when all three of them were pulled down.
The wind howled in my ears, everything was pitch black, and a foul, fishy stench assaulted my nostrils. I could also hear Wang Min and Jiang Hao shouting and yelling beside me.
Zhou Fengchen grabbed the thing wrapped around his waist with both hands. It felt about the thickness of a winter melon, flat, sticky, and soft, somewhat like freshly peeled clam meat. He pulled on it twice, but couldn't pull it apart; it was very elastic.
A strange thought popped into his mind: Could this be... the tongue of some monster?
Just then, a hoarse "Ugh!" sound came from the darkness ahead, and a strong stench hit us.
Then the shouts and the sound of the wind disappeared, and my body was surrounded by something soft, making it difficult to breathe.
It was a terrifying experience, like being eaten by something.
Then his body sprang forward again, sliding quickly forward as if entering some kind of tunnel, like playing on a slide.
While gliding, Zhou Fengchen tried to look around, but it was too dark to see anything. He stepped on something that could move, which looked like a human head. He didn't know if it was Wang Min's or Jiang Hao's.
After sliding for a while, "plop," I fell into a "pool." There was air here, but it was very hot and smelly. The water was like old vinegar, burning my skin.
Zhou Fengchen got up and felt around in the dark. Next to him was a wall of flesh, sticky and burning to the touch.
Just then, two sounds of vomiting came from not far away.
Zhou Fengchen asked, "Are they Wang Min and Jiang Hao?"
"Ugh—it's me." Wang Min's voice was very weak.
"Brother, I'm here too." Jiang Hao's voice was trembling with tears. "Where am I? I almost suffocated."
Zhou Fengchen breathed a sigh of relief. "Does anyone here have anything that can provide light?"
"I have one." Wang Min fumbled around for a moment, then took out his phone and turned on the rear camera.
The glaring light from the phone shone on, and Zhou Fengchen closed his eyes to adjust for a moment. When he opened them again, he was stunned. Wang Min and Jiang Hao on the other side were also stunned.
This is a strange place, with pink walls of flesh everywhere, constantly writhing, and a viscous, murky, and corrosive liquid underfoot. The air is thick with a scorching, sour smell.
Jiang Hao screamed, "Holy crap! What the hell is this place?!"
Wang Min murmured, "Where is this?"
Zhou Fengchen looked around, sighed, and said, "I suspect we've been eaten by something, and this is its stomach!"
"Stomach? Stomach? You're kidding, bro!" Jiang Hao said in disbelief, "This place is seven or eight square meters in size. What kind of thing has a stomach that big?"
Wang Min shook his head. "It's hard to believe, but it really could be the stomach. Look at that tube in front, and this one behind."
Jiang Hao looked around and said, "Is that the esophagus in front, and the one in the back the anus?"
Zhou Fengchen nodded, "Right..."
Jiang Hao cursed and scrambled forward. After taking only two steps, he screamed in agony. Looking up, he was drenched in cold sweat. "Damn it! This monster is starting to digest us."
Zhou Fengchen looked up and, sure enough, there were dense yellow water droplets on it, which looked very corrosive. He quickly said, "Quickly take off your clothes and cover your head."
Jiang Hao and Wang Min quickly took off their clothes to block the falling water droplets.
Jiang Hao, hiding under his clothes, cried out anxiously, "Brother! You're so capable, hurry up and think of something! Otherwise, we'll be turned into shit soon!"
Zhou Fengchen frowned and said, "I'm thinking!"
Getting out of the monster's belly was simple, but Zhou Fengchen was wary of the sinister forces behind the monster; he didn't believe the monster actually existed.
Jiang Hao exclaimed, "Brother, you either crawl out through the esophagus or you crawl out through the anus. Those are the only two options!"
Zhou Fengchen smiled bitterly and said, "If it goes out through the esophagus, it'll be swallowed back up. If it goes out through the anus, it's full of shit, enough to suffocate us. And if the monster squeezes us, it could cut us in half and pull us out. Do you believe that?"
Jiang Hao and Wang Min exchanged frightened glances. "What do we do? The water down here is getting hot too!"
"Then... let's squeeze it out from the intestines!" Zhou Fengchen thought for a moment, walked to the anus, took a deep breath, reached out and tore it open with force. With a "rip" sound, blood gushed out, the flesh wall trembled and a hole appeared.
Zhou Fengchen took the phone and pointed to the blood-soaked hole, "Get out of there quickly!"
Jiang Hao and Wang Min were both stunned for a moment, then gritted their teeth and squeezed in, followed by Zhou Fengchen.
The outside was filled with "lymph" and a dense mass of intestines. The air was extremely thin, and it was all from the monster's breath. It was really suffocating to be inside.
They felt they were very close to the buttocks, but after walking for two or three minutes, they still hadn't arrived. Zhou Fengchen, with his "Turtle Qi Gong," couldn't feel anything, while Wang Min and Jiang Hao in front of him had turned purple with exhaustion and had no strength to walk any further.
Zhou Fengchen got anxious, grabbed Wang Min in front of him, held her small face, and blew on her lips.
Wang Min's eyes widened, but soon, like a fish about to die of thirst, he took two quick breaths.
Zhou Fengchen released her and then called out to Jiang Hao in front, "Come here!"
Jiang Hao shook his head violently, and with a burst of strength, he pushed himself forward with all his might.
Zhou Fengchen, carrying Wang Min, squeezed forward and soon arrived at a "leather tube". He pushed Jiang Hao aside, pulled the "leather tube" and yanked it hard, breaking it in one go and revealing a hole with bone inside. Then he kicked Jiang Hao out, shoved Wang Min out, and then crawled out himself.
He crawled out of the hole, but there was no support outside, so he fell down.
Fortunately, it wasn't very high down there, and it seemed to be a hillside. The three of them tumbled down for two minutes before finally reaching the bottom.
Jiang Hao was at the bottom, Wang Min in the middle, and Zhou Fengchen on top. The three of them tumbled together, all struggling to breathe.
After a while, Zhou Fengchen was the first to get up. He turned around and saw that Wang Min and Jiang Hao had also gotten up.
It was still drizzling. This was a small hill. They were at the foot of the hill, but it was pitch black on top. There seemed to be something very big, but they couldn't see what it was.
Jiang Hao wiped the sticky liquid off his face, spat, and said, "What the hell is that?!"
boom!
At that moment, a large shadow on the hilltop jumped up and fell back down, causing the ground to tremble.
Zhou Fengchen quickly pulled the two of them back, all the way to a patch of grass.
The shadow seemed to be turning, jumping around three or four times before finally revealing itself.
When Zhou Fengchen and the other two looked up at the sunlight, they really didn't know how to describe their feelings.
The monster was covered in bumps, and beneath its raised, flat head was a large patch of yellowish-brown skin that reeked of a strong fishy smell. It was clearly an enormous toad!
"Damn it, we got eaten by a giant toad! Is this some kind of prehistoric behemoth that has escaped?" Jiang Hao didn't care about being scared anymore and started cursing.
Wang Min kept wiping the saliva from his mouth, unable to stop himself from dry heaving.
Zhou Fengchen frowned, staring intently at the back of the giant toad, where a group of figures could be seen.
Just then, a string of lanterns lit up on the giant toad's back, and under the lanterns stood thirty or forty people, all dressed as actors. The leader was a woman in a colorful theatrical robe with a white, pointed face.
