Chapter 261 PK with Bellatrix Lestrange
Chapter 261 PK with Bellatrix Lestrange
Bellatrix wore a long black silk dress, the hem trailing behind her like a shadow in the night, embroidered with eerie silver patterns that shimmered with a mysterious light as she moved.
Her hair was piled high, with a few stray strands falling around her fair neck. On her exquisite yet mad face, her large eyes gleamed with fanaticism, and a provocative smile curled at the corners of her lips.
She walked towards me with an elegant yet arrogant gait, her high heels clicking crisply on the polished floor, each step feeling like a tap on my heartbeat.
Bellatrix Lestrange looks quite pretty dressed like this now. No wonder she's Sirius's cousin, a real beauty. As long as she's not in a crazy state, everything is fine.
People around noticed her movement and quickly moved aside, leaving a clearing around us, as if they knew a storm was about to break out.
“Look who this is, so carefree at this ball.” Bellatrix stood in front of me, her voice soft yet carrying an undeniable ruthlessness. “Let me show my master whether you’re really that capable. Come and test your skills against me.” She tilted her head slightly, her eyes full of disdain and provocation.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down, and looked back at her: "Mrs. Lestrange, at this beautiful ball, you want to compete? Is this a slap in the face to Riddle?" I don't discriminate based on the occasion or the person; whoever displeases me has to accept my anger.
Bellatrix let out a sharp laugh: "Not suitable? Don't be afraid, little one. Are you simply too scared to accept the challenge?" She stretched out her slender fingers and gently played with a strand of hair by her ear, her gaze fixed on me, as if she could see right through me.
Bellatrix knew that Riddle, who hadn't interrupted our match, wanted to see this, but she presumptuously assumed that Riddle was doing it for her sake.
The air around us seemed to freeze, and everyone's eyes were fixed on us, creating a tense atmosphere.
Even Riddle, who had just been standing next to me, sat down, picked up his glass and took a sip. He had great faith in my abilities and thought it was all just a farce. He even smiled at me.
I know that in this wizarding world, strength represents everything, and if I back down, I will have nowhere to stand.
"I hope Mrs. Lestrange will accept the outcome soon." I straightened my back and tried to make my voice sound firm and strong.
Bellatrix smiled with satisfaction, a smile like an evil flower blooming in the darkness. "Let's see the precision and power of our magic. Don't disappoint me." She crossed her arms, tilted her head slightly, and looked confident of victory.
As she finished speaking, the surrounding space seemed to distort, and an aura of magic began to permeate the air.
The music at the ball stopped abruptly, and everyone stepped aside, nervously awaiting the start of the duel.
I gracefully drew my wand, channeled my magic, and prepared to meet Bellatrix's impending attack. A thrilling magical battle was about to begin.
Bellatrix struck first, a green spell shooting towards me like a venomous snake.
I quickly dodged to the side, the spell grazed my shoulder, struck the wall behind me, and the marble shattered instantly, sending shards of stone flying.
I calmly cast 'Armor Protection' on myself, then cast 'Stun' on Bella! A red beam of light shot towards her.
Bellatrix deftly dodged it, as if she had expected it.
"Is that all you've got?" she sneered, then unleashed several spells of different colors. I weaved nimbly through the gaps in the spells, searching for an opportunity to retaliate.
The banquet hall was filled with flashing incantations and deafening roars of magic.
I seized the moment, focused my energy, and shouted, "Obstacles!" A powerful force rushed toward Bellatrix, and her steps faltered slightly.
I seized the opportunity to launch another attack, "Expelliarmus!" Bellatrix's wand was knocked away, arcing through the air.
However, she did not panic. She rushed towards the wand and at the same time drew a dagger from her waist and threw it at me.
The dagger gleamed coldly as it flew straight toward me. I took a small step to the left, and the dagger grazed in front of me before embedding itself in the wall behind me.
After Bellatrix received the wand, a ruthless glint flashed in her eyes. She began to chant a complex incantation, and the surrounding air seemed to freeze, with dark magic surging around her.
I felt a tremendous magical power, and my eyes held a hint of admiration.
I also gathered a small amount of magic and cast: 'Guardian Angel Spell!'
A silver, oriental dragon shot out from the tip of my wand, rushing toward Bellatrix with a bright light.
The silver light collided with the dark magic, emitting a blinding light and a tremendous sound.
Bellatrix was enveloped in light and let out a painful scream.
After the light faded, she stood there somewhat disheveled, a hint of fear appearing in her eyes for the first time.
"How are you feeling, Mrs. Lestrange?" I said firmly, preparing to deliver an even stronger magical blow.
Bellatrix seemed to sense the danger. She glared at me fiercely, turned and rushed to the window, disappearing in a cloud of black smoke.
I gazed in the direction she disappeared, then looked at Riddle sitting there leisurely. The banquet hall was still filled with the lingering scent of magic. After this fierce battle, everyone was impressed by me.
"How are you? Are you tired?" Riddle asked with a smile, handing me a glass of juice.
I sat down and downed the glass in one gulp, then handed the empty glass back to Riddle.
"I think it's about time for tonight, I want to go back and rest." I leaned down and whispered in Riddle's ear, holding onto the sofa armrest, and gave his earlobe a light bite.
Then I simply took the key he gave me and teleported away right in front of him.
"You really flirted with me and then ran away." Riddle chuckled as he watched me leave, touching his earlobe, which still felt warm from where someone had bitten him.
However, Riddle loved this kind of treatment, and his men standing near his sofa could feel their master's good mood.
Severus, who had been watching me from the corner from my arrival to my departure, knew how I interacted with Riddle, and his anxiety throughout the night finally subsided.
He truly didn't expect that man to be so doting on me, so he figured that pretending not to know me was the best way to protect me.
Seeing me leave, he wanted to leave too, but Riddle didn't give the order, so he couldn't leave beforehand.
"Alright, do as you please, I'll be leaving now." Just then, Riddle stood up to leave.
Like Severus, he saw me leave and, not wanting to stay any longer, also decided to leave to go to sleep.
