Chapter 139 The Three Who Deducted Points
Chapter 139 The Three Who Deducted Points
I ate a bit too much on the bus, and I felt a little stuffed. When I got back to my college's long table and saw the food in front of me, I didn't have much of an appetite.
"Ayers, what's wrong? Don't you want to eat?" Draco, who was eating dinner next to me, looked curiously at my untouched veal steak.
"I think I ate a bit too much in the train car, and now I don't have much of an appetite." She put down her knife and fork, picked up the juice on the table, and sipped it slowly.
"Don't force yourself if you can't eat." Draco put down his knife and fork after finishing his meal and then wiped his mouth with a handkerchief.
"Hmm." As I sipped my juice, I looked around at the other people eating in the hall and auditorium.
Finally, I looked at the professor's seat and saw Severus slowly eating lamb chops. I noticed he was frowning as he ate his dinner, wondering if it was because it wasn't as good as mine.
I'm indulging in a little self-admiration, sipping my juice from the tall glass while watching him frown as he ate; it was actually quite amusing.
Looking over at Gryffindor, tsk tsk—are they fighting over food?
Harry stood there dumbfounded, watching Fred and George tease Ron.
Hermione stared wide-eyed at the three of them making a ruckus.
"Hehe." I chuckled unintentionally, and a group of people around me stared at me.
"Sorry, sorry, please continue," I apologized to those around me, then looked at Cedric.
Cedric was very popular; even the badgers from the same college sitting around him would serve him food.
Suddenly his gaze turned to me, and we met eyes. We smiled at each other.
After the Christmas holidays, school resumed as usual, and exams were approaching. Wizards of all grades began to study and prepare for their exams.
Today, after class, I planned to go to the library to read some books. I happened to run into a trio and was fortunate enough to overhear their conversation.
"Will this keep you entertained?" Ron asked as he saw Hermione flipping through a very thick book on the table.
Curious about what they were saying, I sat down in a chair quite close to them and eavesdropped.
Hermione gave Raoul a fierce look, then said seriously, "I read about him in this book. He was a very famous alchemist."
Ron's mouth dropped open in astonishment: "An alchemist? Does that mean he can turn lead into gold?"
Hermione rolled her eyes at him: "Ron, is all you care about is gold? Nicolas Flamel's achievements go far beyond that. It's said that he also created the Philosopher's Stone, which can grant immortality."
Harry's eyes lit up immediately: "Immortality? That's amazing!"
Ron scoffed, "How could that be? Immortality is just a legend."
Hermione shook her head: "No, I believe it's true. The existence of the Philosopher's Stone has been confirmed by many people, but it has always been protected by Nicolas Flamel, and no one has been able to find it."
Harry said thoughtfully, "If we can find the Philosopher's Stone, we can solve a lot of problems."
Ron said excitedly, "Yes, we can use it to treat patients and help those in need."
Hermione looked at them and said seriously, "But we can't just think about using the Philosopher's Stone. It's a very dangerous thing, and if it falls into the hands of bad people, the consequences will be unimaginable."
Harry and Ron nodded; they knew Hermione was right.
Just then, the librarian came over and said softly, "Children, the library is closing soon, you should go home."
Harry, Hermione, and Ron stood up, packed their things, and left the library.
I packed my things and followed them. I saw that they weren't going back to the Gryffindor common room, but were running towards the Forbidden Forest. They must have been going to find Hagrid.
I cast a Confusion Charm on myself, and as soon as I finished, I saw a platinum-level young master secretly following them.
I followed the four of them to Hagrid's hut, watching them from a distance.
The three little ones stayed in Hagrid's hut for a long time. Draco, meanwhile, was secretly peeking out of Hagrid's hut window when he saw that he seemed to have been discovered and was running towards me.
I grabbed Draco and pulled him away, startling him.
"Ayers?" Draco asked cautiously, regaining his senses.
"Draco, what are you planning to do?" I appeared in front of Draco after removing the 'Confusion Charm'.
"I'm going to tell Professor McGonagall that Hagrid, that big idiot, has a dragon as a pet!" Draco excitedly told me, sharing what he had seen. I waited with a smile for him to finish.
"Hmm~ Draco is great, you even found out they were raising dragons. But Draco, have you thought that if you tell Professor McGonagall, you might be punished too?" I calmly analyzed for him. He might have a great time going to High Secret, but he himself would also be penalized by the professor.
"So I can only know but not tell anyone?" Draco asked me unhappily, his excitement completely dampened by my words.
“They’ve already discovered you, so they’ll definitely leave soon. Now it’s just a matter of seeing if they can evade the professor and Mr. Filch on patrol.” I didn’t make it too absolute; it was fifty-fifty, depending on whether the three little ones had that kind of luck.
I cast a Confusion Charm on Draco and myself to evade the patrolling professors, then returned to my dorm to rest and sleep.
The next day, it seems Harry and his friends were really unlucky; the trio who were caught by Severus after being put under curfew before returning to their dorm were indeed caught.
Then Severus caught them and brought them to Professor McGonagall, and in the end, all three of them had points deducted, and the Gryffindor hourglass lost a lot of sand.
The happiest person to hear this news was Draco. He was a little unhappy when I took him back to the dorm last night, but the next day, upon hearing the news, he was so happy that he went to Harry and Ron and started bickering with them again.
Draco's face immediately broke into a smug smile, secretly delighted.
"Haha, Potter, Weasley, and Granger have finally lost points!" Draco muttered to himself as he walked toward them.
When he saw Harry and his friends, he deliberately slowed his pace and looked at them with a disdainful gaze.
"Hey, isn't this the famous Harry Potter and his friends? What, did you get points deducted?" Draco mocked.
Harry frowned, ignoring Draco's provocation.
Ron said angrily, "Malfoy, don't get too cocky! This was just an accident."
"An accident?" Draco sneered. "I think you made a mistake yourselves! But it doesn't matter, you're always going to cause trouble anyway."
Hermione couldn't help but retort, "Malfoy, don't think you're so great. Just because we lost points doesn't mean we're worse than you."
Draco smiled dismissively: "Is that so? Then why do you always get points deducted? While I never get points deducted."
Harry, Harry, and his friends exchanged glances, all filled with anger.
“Malfoy, just you wait! We’ll prove you wrong,” Harry said.
Draco shrugged. "Fine, I'll wait. But I don't think you guys have the ability."
After saying that, Draco turned and left, leaving Harry, Harry, and their friends standing there, furious.
