Chapter 16 Peaceful Times
Chapter 16 Peaceful Times
The first potions class went alright for me; at least I didn't get completely destroyed by the Sorcerer.
After class, Severus handed me some new textbooks and notebooks, which looked like fourth-grade textbooks when I looked down at them.
"Severus, how did you know I was already capable of learning this knowledge?" He smiled and took the textbooks.
“Intuition.” Severus didn’t know why, but he just felt that Ayers had finished reading the books he had given him before, so he brought these new books for him to read today.
"Okay, thank you, Siever (wife)." I really wanted to be cheeky, but I was afraid that the thin-skinned Siever would give me a sharp rebuke.
As I walked out of the classroom with the textbook that Professor S had given me, Fred on my left took the textbook from me, while George on my right pulled me towards the hall and auditorium.
"Slow down, you two. The professor isn't chasing you." He looked at the two red-haired boys with a bit of amusement, as if the professor were the one chasing them.
"Oh ho~ you two finally arrived. Look at our school's hourglass, is it your masterpiece?" The three of us had just arrived at the Great Hall and sat at the Gryffindor table when Oliver Wood, sitting opposite us, looked at the twins with schadenfreude.
Even Percy Weasley, sitting next to Oliver Wood, looked over, with a deathly gaze upon him.
Haha~ I remember Percy was a bit obsessed with grades. Today, when he was teaching Geminis to deduct points, it seems like a lot of them were points he added in class. This time, we're really back to square one.
“We didn’t expect our first Potions class to be so exciting,” Fred said between bites.
"Exactly, when did we offend the Potions professor?" George was quite observant; even while eating, he noticed that what I wanted to eat was a bit far away and out of reach, so he put it on my plate for me.
"The Potions professor is Severus Snape, he's my headmaster, and he has a bit of a grudge against Gryffindor." Haha, how cheeky of me.
"Oh, so it's all your fault, Ayers." Fred and George finally understood what had happened.
"This isn't my fault, is it? It's your potion that malfunctioned. Ask Oliver and Percy if they lost that many points." I'm not taking the blame for this. Although I might have contributed a little, it's definitely not my fault.
"As your older brother, I feel I need to give you two a treat during the holiday." Percy finally caught his two mischievous younger brothers. Let's see how he deals with them tomorrow.
"No~" Both Geminis had bitter faces; they didn't even enjoy their lunch anymore.
After lunch, we dispersed, since I was heading back to the Slytherin common room, not the Gryffindors' group, and the afternoon was Quidditch time.
This time, I declined the Geminis' invitation to go to the Quidditch pitch to watch their practice. I plan to go to the library to read some books instead; I feel there's still a lot of knowledge in the library that I want to learn.
But then I suddenly realized that it's been almost a week since I came to Hogwarts, and I've been in the castle all the time without going out for a walk. Maybe I should go out and get some fresh air today.
Even though I'm a homebody, I still need to go out and get some sun, otherwise my pale skin will scare people when I walk out.
Having planned out the afternoon's activities, I first put all the books into my portable backpack in a secluded spot, then turned a corner and headed towards the kitchen.
I made some afternoon tea snacks in the kitchen, grabbed a small basket from the kitchen, and headed towards the big tree where St. Petersburg liked to sit and read. It seemed like a nice place for a picnic.
I strolled leisurely to the big tree, and unexpectedly ran into someone there.
[Jin: Ding—Target Percy Weasley]
Having a picnic with him rewards you with 100 Bond Points, 100 Experience Points, 10 Favorability Points, and 1 Luck Point.
What a coincidence! The task has arrived!
"Senior Percy, I didn't expect to meet you here." While greeting Percy, she took out a large mat from her small basket, spread it out in the shade of the big tree, and then sat down cross-legged.
"Hmm." Percy hadn't expected that he would run into Ayers when he came here to read a book instead of watching Quidditch today.
"No offense intended. I brought some food; feel free to eat if you'd like. I might want to rest for a bit." I placed the pastries I had made between us, then lay down, using my clothes as a pillow, and fell asleep fully clothed.
I stayed up a bit late reading last night, and then woke up too early this morning as usual, so I'm feeling really sleepy now.
It feels so comfortable here. A gentle breeze brings a touch of coolness, while the midday sun shines through the leaves, bringing a hint of warmth. It's really comfortable and pleasant.
Percy read his book while glancing at Ayers lying next to him every now and then. This junior was undeniably handsome, almost otherworldly. For some reason, ever since the first time he saw him, he couldn't help but look at him more often.
Now, seeing his sleeping face, I find him kind of cute. How come?
To hide his slight panic, he unconsciously reached into the food box and took a small pastry to taste.
Mmm~ It's delicious. It's not too sweet, but it's just so good. It's much better than the little cakes my mom makes.
Percy felt he could no longer read; he couldn't concentrate. Seeing Ayers asleep, he felt sleepy himself.
Leaning against the big tree, Percy gradually fell asleep, his book slipping from his hand and sliding to the side.
I don't know how long I slept, but I felt someone come up next to me, so I squinted one eye to look.
It turned out to be Fred, who was preparing a prank, grabbing his paw with one hand.
"George, I think you'd better put your pen away, Percy will beat you up when he wakes up." Although I'm still a little dazed, that doesn't stop me from wanting to do Fred's makeup.
She snatched the pen from his hand, lifted his face, and started drawing rapidly.
For some reason, Fred, who was being held, didn't want to struggle anymore when Ayers lifted his face up; his little face was just a little hot.

I studied art in my past life. Actually, Geminis are quite handsome, but now my beauty is overshadowed by the freckles inherited from my family.
The pen in my hand is quite useful; it turns into whatever color I want, and I used it on Fred's face.
"Wow~ My brother is so handsome." George, caught red-handed, reluctantly put down his pen and watched curiously as I gave Fred a major makeover.
Boys can also wear a little makeup and make some minor changes.
Oh, who's this handsome guy? It's Fred! That's all then.
"Really, I want to see! I want to see!" As I finished fixing his hair, Fred couldn't wait to ask someone for a mirror.
"Me too! Me too!" George plopped down in front of me, eagerly demanding a major overhaul.
"Ha~ Good." I felt like I was fully awake now. I casually ran my fingers through my hair and started seriously revising George's drawing.
George felt a little strange, and was making him uneasy under Ayers' intense gaze.
Suddenly I noticed George's little face was a bit red, haha~ my mischievous heart is pounding~ I want to flirt with him~
"George, you look handsome like this too~" After tidying up George's red hair, she whispered something in his ear, and immediately his little ears turned bright red.

Oh wow~ So cute, who understands?~ Great~ I understand perfectly~
"I'm going to find Fred." George ran off, and in a flash, neither of them knew where they were.
"Percy, stop pretending, I know you're awake." He ate a sandwich from the food box, looking completely lazy.
"Ayers, do you have a younger brother or sister at home?" Actually, he woke up when George was about to draw Percy. He was used to the twins' pranks at home and was always ready. He would automatically wake up whenever they got close.
"I used to have one, but I don't know about now." In my past life, I did have a younger sister, but now I'm an orphan, so I don't have any younger brothers or sisters.
Percy realized he had brought up a very bad topic, and for a moment they both fell silent.
"Senior Percy, I think it's getting late and we should probably head back. Would you like to take this food with you? I made it myself; you might not be able to find it anywhere else." She tidied her clothes and handed the food box to Percy.
To win someone's heart, first conquer their stomach, then their body and soul.
"Okay, thank you." There was no denying that Percy liked the food Ayers made; it tasted even better than his mother's.
"See you next time, Percy." He picked up his picnic basket and left.
