Chapter 42 Representative Organa, Heading to the Planet Katonemoydia
Chapter 42 Representative Organa, Heading to the Planet Katonemoydia
"A boy and a girl."
"What? You're telling the truth?"
Ahsoka was stunned, and muttered under his breath:
"Anakin...and Padmé?"
She suddenly remembered many things from the past.
Anakin always disappears without a trace, and Padmé always speaks up for him.
The way they looked at each other, the undisguised gaze in their eyes.
She had only suspected it before.
Now, she finally understands.
"So it really is true..."
She said in a low voice.
Anakin is dead.
Padmé also died.
But they actually kept the child.
Ahsoka closed his eyes and remained silent for a long time.
Lance stood aside, not disturbing her.
After a while, Ahsoka spoke again:
"Does Anakin know about this?"
Lance pondered for a moment, then shook his head.
Anakin was probably unaware of Luke and Leia's existence, otherwise he might not have completely fallen to the dark side.
But if he finds out, Luke and Leia's lives will be in danger.
Palpatine would never allow his chosen protégé to leave him.
He either forced Darth Vader to kill his own children to prove his loyalty.
If that fails, Palpatine will probably take matters into his own hands and put an end to Darth Vader's ambitions.
Ahsoka's breath hitched, and he lowered his head, silently grieving.
After a long silence, he finally raised his head again:
"What's the child's name?"
"The boy's name is Luke, and the girl's name is Leia."
Ahsoka softly repeated the two names.
Are they safe?
"It's safe for now. Leia should have already been adopted by Congressman Organa."
Ahsoka nodded.
"The Empire must not know of their existence."
......
"Let's go find Senator Organa."
The two turned back again, by which time the funeral was nearing its end.
As the sun set, the crowd silently dispersed.
Representative Organa and several other representatives turned and went into the palace.
Lance and Ahsoka exchanged a glance, then quietly blended into the crowd and left. They arrived at a secluded corner outside the palace, used their Force abilities to leap easily up the city wall, which was more than ten meters high, and arrived at the top of the hall.
Looking down, one could see several members of parliament bidding farewell to the newly elected Amidala.
Seeing Organa leave the hall, the time was ripe, and they immediately followed quietly.
They stopped him at the corner of the corridor.
"Asoka?! What are you doing here?"
Organa cautiously glanced around, lowered his voice, and spoke with a hint of surprise.
"Member of Parliament Organa, we need to talk to you about something."
"us?"
Ahsoka did not answer, and turned to walk towards a secluded balcony.
Organa didn't understand, but followed without hesitation.
When he came out onto the balcony, he saw a man in a dirty repairman's uniform standing next to Asoka.
He stared at the face covered in colorful glaze, and a sense of déjà vu washed over him.
"Who are you?"
"Lance Black".
"It's you, Master Procon's disciple."
"That's right."
"It's so good to see you're all safe and sound."
Lance didn't waste time with pleasantries and went straight to the point.
When Organa learned that Master Procon was still alive, a look of joy appeared on his face.
"Are you planning to travel to Katonemoydia to rescue Master Procon?"
"Yes, so we need a starship that's fast enough."
"No problem, I can also send a small team to assist you."
Lance and Ahsoka had already discussed the rescue plan.
Compared to a vast empire, a head-on confrontation is definitely not an option.
Only small-scale infiltration is permitted.
The quality of personnel is more important than the quantity.
Sneaking into the village, don't shoot.
"The rescue is enough with me and Ahsoka," Langston paused, then continued, "Please arrange for a small team to hide in the nearby star system as backup."
He added, "The Empire must not know that you are the one interfering."
Organa nodded: "Don't worry."
Things were progressing exceptionally smoothly. For Organa, a member of the Odran Star Congress, a mere interstellar spaceship was nothing more than a piece of cake.
He used his secret connections and quickly obtained an anonymously modified Nemodia shuttle.
These transport shuttles belonged to trade confederations and were common in the colonial territories, making them difficult to notice.
......
Naboo is located in square O-17 of the standard Milky Way grid, while Katonemoydia is located in square N-11.
Hyperspace travel takes nearly 70 hours.
Lance, not wanting to delay any longer, bid farewell to Senator Organa and immediately set off with Asoka.
With a blue trail of flame piercing through Naboo's atmosphere, the shuttle suddenly disappeared into the void.
After the shuttle jumped into hyperspace, the cockpit gradually quieted down.
Only a dark blue passageway remained outside the porthole.
Ahsoka sat in the passenger seat, gazing out the window in silence.
She has been preoccupied ever since she was falsely accused and forced to leave the Jedi Order.
The subsequent Order No. 66 brought about the deaths of many close friends, her mentor, and his wife, almost completely robbing her of the color in her life.
It wasn't until she met Lance in Naboo that she regained a sliver of life.
Thinking of this, Asoka couldn't help but glance at Lance beside him out of the corner of his eye.
Lance sat in the driver's seat, expertly checking the energy and navigation systems.
He keenly sensed the gaze directed at him, turned to look at Ahsoka, and noticed that she seemed to be missing something.
After examining it carefully for a moment, he couldn't help but ask out of curiosity:
"Asoka, where's your lightsaber?"
Ahsoka paused slightly.
A few seconds later, she calmly said:
"It's lost."
She did indeed leave her two lightsabers on that unknown planet.
From that moment on, she decided to completely abandon her Jedi identity and try to start a new life.
If she hadn't met Lance in Naboo, she might have chosen to live a secluded life on a remote planet.
Ahsoka continued, "Anyway, I wasn't a Jedi to begin with."
Her tone was very calm.
But Lance could still sense that she wasn't as relaxed as she appeared.
A lightsaber is more than just a weapon.
It is also a part of her past.
The air fell silent.
A moment later, Lance slowly pulled the hilt of a lightsaber from his sleeve and handed it over.
This was the weapon he took from a deceased Jedi when he fled the Jedi Temple.
Ahsoka was taken aback.
"Take it."
"I don't need it."
Ahsoka shook his head instinctively:
"Besides, if you give me the lightsaber, what will you use yourself?"
"Don't worry, I have another one."
As he spoke, Lance took the hilt of his sword from his other sleeve and swung it lightly.
Ahsoka stared at the lightsaber being handed to him, his expression complex.
After a long while, she finally reached out and took it.
As I gripped the sword hilt, a feeling both strange and familiar washed over me.
Feeling the lingering warmth on it, she couldn't help but clench her fist a little tighter.
"Thanks."
"I should be the one saying it."
Lance set the navigation to automatic mode and turned the seat:
"Furthermore, I've always wanted to ask you for advice on dual-wielding techniques."
Ahsoka raised an eyebrow and looked at him:
"Want to learn? I'll teach you."
