"Get lost! I ran away while my parents were on vacation, didn't I? Look at you, not welcoming me?" Jiang Lai rolled her eyes in annoyance and glared at Su Chang through gritted teeth.
"Uh! Do whatever you want." Su Chang wasn't in the mood to argue with her right now, and continued to rack her brains to recall if there were any female leads in TV dramas who were suitable for managing a company.
"Tch! What do you mean by that? You don't welcome me leaving, do you?" Seeing his indifferent attitude, Jiang Lai pulled her suitcase and headed for the door again.
"Okay, okay, I was wrong, alright?" Su Chang had no choice but to immediately get up and grab Jiang Lai.
Jiang Lai merely gave Su Chang a perfunctory shrug, making no attempt to shake her off, before pouting haughtily, "Hmph! Then tell me how you're going to make it up to me?"
"Uh!" Su Chang thought for a moment and really didn't know what kind of compensation he could give Jiang Lai. After all, Jiang Lai didn't lack anything. Buy her a bag? Goodness, would that be trying to kill him with work? Forget it. Give her a car or a house? She's not Fan Shengmei, she wouldn't be interested in those. Then Su Chang suddenly had a flash of inspiration and remembered the yacht he got from signing in a week ago. He hadn't seen it yet, so he could go out to sea.
"How about I take you out to sea for fun?" Su Chang asked tentatively.
"Going to sea? Sure, sure..."
"Ding dong!"
Just as Jiang Lai agreed, the doorbell rang.
Jiang Lai and Su Chang exchanged a glance, and Su Chang shook her head helplessly.
"Could it be that idiot Jiang Haokun followed you here?"
"No way, he went abroad on business, he doesn't have time for me," Jiang Lai said firmly, then threw down her suitcase and went to open the door.
As soon as the door opened, five women from the 22nd floor came into view. Qu Xiaoxiao noticed their attire and suitcases and asked, "Are you going on a trip?"
"Yes, that's right. Su Chang and I are going out to sea for fun." Jiang Lai was furious when she saw these little devils and deliberately showed off.
"Hey! Brother Su Chang, you guys are going out to sea? Take us with you! We're planning to go too during the National Day holiday. We were just thinking about you going alone, so we came up to ask if you wanted to come along."
Qu Xiaoxiao didn't bother with Jiang Lai's smug look; her words weren't very credible. However, she was still very interested in going to sea, and cleverly, she brought everyone along, suggesting that they also wanted to take him along, making it difficult for Su Chang to refuse.
Su Chang felt a little troubled when he saw Jiang Lai's unfriendly gaze. Although he had no feelings for Qu Xiaoxiao, he couldn't bear to let go of Andy and Guan Juer.
"How about this, Lai Lai, let's go out to sea together this time. After all, it's pretty boring for just the two of us. Anyway, it's still early. See if any of your friends want to come along. We can all go out to sea together for a few days."
Su Chang thought that although she hadn't seen the yacht yet, she had searched for it online. It was a yacht worth 20 million US dollars, which was quite big. It would be quite boring for the two of them to stay on it.
"Okay, but you have to come shopping with me. I want to buy sunscreen, swimsuits, and so on..." Jiang Lai had no choice but to make her demands when Su Chang made his decision. Was she supposed to get angry and throw this stinky man into a bunch of vixens? She didn't even know if he would still be hers when he came back. So she immediately made her demands.
"Stop, stop, stop... Buy, buy, buy everything." Su Chang agreed without hesitation. After all, Jiang Lai had already backed down, and it would be a bit much if he didn't agree. "Guan Guan, Andy, see if you have any friends you want to bring. Let's invite them too. We should be leaving tonight. I'll let you know the time later."
"Ah? Brother Su Chang, I can go by myself, no need to call anyone else." Guan Juer said shyly in a low voice.
"Yeah, I just got back and don't have many friends. I'll ask Old Tan later," Andy nodded in agreement.
"Brother Su Chang, I'm not bringing anyone with me. Can you take me with you when you go shopping?" Qu Xiaoxiao immediately pressed her advantage.
"No." Before Su Chang could answer, Jiang Lai spoke up first to reject the idea.
"Why not?" Qu Xiaoxiao was immediately displeased upon hearing Jiang Lai's words: "Sister Lai Lai, you're being too stingy."
"I'm doing this to save money for your brother Su Chang." Jiang Lai rolled her eyes at her.
"Tch..." Qu Xiaoxiao made a face at Jiang Lai, then turned to Su Chang: "Brother Su Chang, tell me, are you taking me or not?"
Su Chang looked at the two of them helplessly, thinking that women were such a hassle: "Why don't you two go together? I'll give the bag to Lai Lai later, and you can buy whatever you want." He didn't want to be caught in the middle and become cannon fodder.
"Hmph!" Jiang Lai and Qu Xiaoxiao snorted coldly at the same time, turning their heads away and ignoring him.
Seeing this, Su Chang quickly changed the subject: "Then I'll go find the captain to confirm the departure time first, and then I'll let you know." After saying that, he stuffed a card into Jiang Lai's hand and ran out of the house as if he were escaping, disappearing from the women's sight before they could react.
Chapter Thirty-Three: Setting Sail 1
At six o'clock in the evening, as the sun was setting, Su Chang and the six women arrived at the Shiliupu Wharf. A middle-aged man in a suit was already waiting there. Upon seeing them arrive, he immediately jogged over to greet them.
"Excuse me, are you Mr. Su Chang?"
"Yes." Su Chang nodded slightly.
"Mr. Su, your yacht is ready. Food and fuel have been replenished, and the service staff and crew are all on board," the middle-aged man continued.
"Ok."
"Mr. Su, shall we board the ship now?"
"Okay, let's do it now. Maybe we can still catch some wild fishing." Su Chang nodded.
"Okay, Su Chang, please follow me." The middle-aged man gestured for him to follow and then led the way.
Not long after, the group arrived at Pier 3, where a luxurious yacht appeared before them.
The yacht, pristine white, shimmered captivatingly in the afterglow of the setting sun. Its streamlined hull design resembled an elegant dolphin gliding across the sea. The high-rising bow, like a sharp sword, cleaved through the waves, forging ahead fearlessly.
The ship's hull is adorned with gold lines, which contrast beautifully with its pristine white hull, giving it an exceptionally elegant and sophisticated appearance. Comfortable deck chairs and parasols are arranged on the deck, seemingly inviting people to fully enjoy a leisurely time at sea.
As they approached the yacht, the crew was already standing neatly on both sides of the gangway, warmly welcoming them. The crew members were dressed in uniform, their faces beaming with genuine smiles. Their eyes revealed their love for their work and their respect for their guests.
"Welcome home, everyone!" the crew members said in unison, their voices loud and clear. Their enthusiasm touched everyone, instantly making them feel right at home.
Su Chang led the six women onto the yacht, greeted the captain, and then went into the cabin. Inside, they found a spacious and bright living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable bedroom.
"Wow, this yacht is amazing!" Qiu Yingying exclaimed.
Su Chang smiled and said, "Everyone can take a rest first, or go to the deck to enjoy the night view. We'll set off in a bit."
So everyone dispersed. Su Chang, Jiang Lai, and Andy went to their rooms to rest, while Guan Juer, Qiu Yingying, Fan Shengmei, and Qu Xiaoxiao went to the deck to feel the sea breeze.
Su Chang returned to her room and put her things away. She sensed the ship had sailed for some time and reached the bow. Night had fallen, and countless stars twinkled like jewels in the vast night sky. The distant river, illuminated by the moonlight, shimmered with a faint silver light, like a silver ribbon winding its way into the distance.
Su Chang stood quietly at the bow of the boat, feeling the tranquility of the night and the caress of the sea breeze. His gaze followed the surface of the river, his heart filled with anticipation. This sea voyage, for him and the six women, might be an adventure full of unknowns and surprises.
The moonlight bathed him, outlining his resolute features. He took a deep breath; the salty scent of the sea filled the air, stirring a strange excitement within him. In the stillness of the night, he could almost hear the waves crashing against the ship's hull—a symphony of nature, adding a touch of mystery to their journey.
Su Chang gazed into the distance, pondering his upcoming itinerary. This was his first time at sea in both his previous and current lives. In his past life, he always saw stories of rich kids throwing parties online or fishermen going out to sea, which made him incredibly envious. Unfortunately, he was always broke and could only watch from the sidelines as a keyboard warrior, filled with envy and jealousy. But now that he had the means, he couldn't help but enjoy himself.
Su Chang went to the bridge and found the captain.
"Captain, if we want to go night fishing, how long will it take us to get there?"
“Mr. Su, are you planning to night fish? The nearest fishing spot is about six hours away, and although there is fishing gear on the boat, this boat is mainly for recreation. We can only go to the stern, which isn't very safe for night fishing,” the captain explained after thinking for a moment.
"It's alright, Captain. I'm going to rest now. Remember to call me when we arrive. Thank you for your hard work." Su Chang thought to himself, "You probably don't know how strong my body is. The fish are in danger, not me."
"Okay, Mr. Su." Seeing that Su Chang was determined, the captain could no longer persuade him. He could only think of checking the aft deck later and sending more people over. No matter what, he had to ensure Mr. Su's safety.
The boat sailed slowly from the river into the sea. The women who had been making a ruckus on the boat returned to their rooms to rest, while the yacht sped across the sea.
Five hours later, the ship slowly came to a stop. The captain personally came to Su Chang's room, woke him up, and led him to the aft deck. Fishing gear and bait were all prepared, and two crew members were waiting for Su Chang's arrival.
"Um... you guys often go out to sea, have you ever tried sea fishing?" Su Chang was genuinely embarrassed. He had spent both his lives studying hard and had never fished before, so he didn't know how to night fish.
"Uh! Mr. Su, have you never night fished before?" The captain was taken aback by Su Chang's question.
"Ahem... Can I say I've never fished before?" Although embarrassed, Su Chang had no choice but to tell the truth.
"Okay! Then you don't need to worry about anything else later. I'll have them teach you how to cast, reel in, play the fish, and reel in the line."
The captain was also helpless. If it weren't for the high price, he really wouldn't want to bother with this idiot Su Chang. He'd never fished before and he was night fishing. Was he trying to kill himself? He could only tell the two crew members next to him to be extra careful and make sure the rich man was safe before leaving, looking back every three steps.
The two crew members also had a clear division of labor: one was responsible for the preparation work, and the other was responsible for explaining to Su Chang some precautions and basic information about fishing, especially night fishing.
Su Chang then began night fishing, accompanied by two crew members.
Su Chang sat on the gunwale, gripping his fishing rod tightly, his eyes fixed intently on the water. His heart was pounding, a mixture of excitement and nervousness.
“Hey, Mr. Su, relax!” a crew member said with a smile, patting him on the shoulder.
Su Chang took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. He carefully baited the hook, then gently cast it into the water.
After a while, the bell rang, and Su Chang nervously gripped the fishing rod.
"Don't rush, wait until the fish has taken a firm bite before reeling in the line," another crew member advised.
Su Chang nodded, his eyes fixed on the sea, though he couldn't see anything. Suddenly, a strong jolt came from his fishing rod, and Su Chang shouted excitedly, "A fish has taken the bait!"
He quickly pulled the rod, but the fish was very strong and struggled desperately. Su Chang's hand was a little tense from the fishing rod, but he was still in control, after all, he was physically strong, and he held the fishing rod tightly.
"Go, Mr. Su!" Two crew members cheered him on from the sidelines.
After a fierce struggle, Su Chang finally caught the fish. Looking at the red pomfret in the crew member's hand, he was so happy that he danced with joy, his face beaming with excitement.
"Haha, I finally caught a fish!" Su Chang shouted excitedly.
Two crew members came over with smiles and helped him put the red pomfret back into the oxygenated fish tank next to him.
"Excellent, President Su, this is a good start!"
Su Chang nodded: "Thank you for your guidance, let's continue!"
Over the next few days, Su Chang gradually mastered the fishing techniques, and fish were being caught one after another. His mood improved, and he enjoyed the pleasures of fishing. Little did he know, this pleasure came from money.
Chapter Thirty-Four: Setting Sail 2
Andy, who usually gets up early, went to the deck early in the morning, intending to enjoy the sea view and breathe some fresh air. However, he suddenly heard Su Chang's excited shouts from the back of the ship, so he went to the back deck out of curiosity.
When Andy arrived at the aft deck, he saw Su Chang excitedly playing with a fish. A huge fish was darting about in the ocean, clearly unwilling to give up. Su Chang, on the other hand, moved his body with ease, his steps particularly firm.
Andy had seen fishing before, but this was her first time seeing sea fishing. Seeing Su Chang's excited expression piqued her interest, and she unconsciously walked up behind Su Chang and the other two.
"Haha! Young Master Su, this thing is quite big. It'll probably take him about ten minutes to run around before he gets exhausted," a sailor warned.
"Haha! No problem, not just ten minutes, half an hour is no problem either." Su Chang waved his hand nonchalantly. Although he had been fishing for almost four hours, it was his first time sea fishing, so he was extremely excited.
What Su Chang didn't know was that there was someone standing behind him. So, in his struggle with the sea fish, his body kept leaning backward. Whether the sea fish was exhausted or resting and pretending to be dead, Su Chang exerted his strength and his body suddenly lurched backward as well. This was bad news.
"what!"
Su Chang exerted considerable force in trying to pull the fish, resulting in significant backward momentum. He crashed into Andy, who was engrossed in watching the game. The sudden collision sent Andy tumbling towards the ground.
Hearing Andy's scream, Su Chang didn't have time to think. He released his fishing rod, turned around, and hugged Andy from behind. Seeing Andy, who was usually aloof, wearing sportswear and looking shy, Su Chang was even more charming and reluctant to let go.
Andy didn't know why, but she couldn't stand anyone touching her. But now, being held in Su Chang's arms, she felt a sense of security she had never felt before.
"Quick, quick, pull him back!"
"You need to help, this thing is really strong."
As the two were gazing into each other's eyes, preparing for the moment, they were startled awake by a sound behind them. Andy immediately got up and left Su Chang's embrace, feeling a little reluctant to leave.
Su Chang turned around and looked at the two crew members with annoyance, thinking how inconsiderate they were. However, seeing the two crew members pulling hard on the fishing rod with all their might, he couldn't say anything more. After all, he had just suddenly dropped the fishing rod, and if the two hadn't reacted quickly, the fishing rod would probably be swimming in the sea by now.
"Come on, let me handle this." Su Chang stepped forward, snatched the fishing rod, and resumed his struggle with the sea fish, while saying to Andy behind him, "Andy, want to try it out?"
