Chapter 30: Walking into a Trap
Chapter 30: Walking into a Trap
A dozen minutes later, the helicopter landed over Kim Sonsa Temple.
Without saying hello to his entourage or waiting for them to land the plane, Su Qin, under the astonished gazes of the armed personnel, walked through the cabin and jumped out without a parachute or rappelling rope.
The plane was still dozens of meters above the ground. A normal person would be torn to pieces if they jumped from that height, but Su Qin landed lightly on the ground without making a sound.
However, the moment it touched the ground, it burrowed into the soil and never came out again.
There were no traces on the ground; a living person had simply vanished without a trace, which sent chills down the spines of the people accompanying them on the helicopter.
Su Qin traveled underground without encountering the slightest hindrance. This was not a whim of his; it was the best solution he had come up with after careful consideration.
Rushing in rashly, even without alerting the monks, would inevitably lead to a confrontation with them, which could easily cause problems. To avoid such trouble, this special method is the only option.
Although he doesn't possess the Ghost Realm, his body can become ethereal, allowing him to move freely underground without obstructing his vision. He can see everything outside clearly while avoiding being discovered by the Ghost Master—a truly perfect solution.
The primary goal now is to determine whether the demon slayer is still at Kimseon-ji Temple, or whether he has set a trap for someone to fall into.
Su Qin randomly selected a plump young monk who was sweeping fallen leaves on the ground. He was completely unaware that an invisible ghost hand slowly emerged from the ground and reached for his head.
The ghostly hand grabbed the young monk's head.
Immediately, the monk stood there dumbfounded, without moving or screaming, like a wooden puppet.
As the ghostly hand dragged, a transparent, unidentified object was pulled out of his head. Then, the ghostly hand, holding the transparent object, slowly burrowed into the soil.
The ghostly hand returned to Su Qin's body, and at the same time, the transparent, unidentified object was also taken into his head.
Suddenly, a vast and chaotic stream of memories flooded his mind, making Su Qin feel extremely agitated. It was as if dozens or even hundreds of movies were playing in his head at the same time, making his head feel like it was about to explode. He forced himself to endure the discomfort and watched the last scene.
Without hesitation, Su Qin pulled the consciousness out of his head, and at the same time, the discomfort suddenly disappeared.
"Damn, thank goodness they only took a part of his consciousness. If they had taken the whole consciousness, I would have been driven crazy. I have to be more careful next time, lest I accidentally mess up my own brain."
This monk worked odd jobs at Jinshan Temple. He had a lot of things to do every day and all sorts of impure thoughts. These memories were indeed very torturous, but fortunately, Su Qin finally got the information he wanted.
There is indeed a foreigner in Jinshan Temple who came two weeks ago and became the abbot's disciple. His room is the last meditation room in the east wing. He should be inside now, as he rarely comes out.
Su Qin manipulated the ghost hand and put the monk's consciousness back into the monk's head.
The monk regained his senses, stood there blankly for two seconds, touched his bald head, seemingly unable to understand what had just happened, and then acted as if nothing had happened and continued sweeping.
Su Qin, who had been hiding underground, had already left the courtyard. Following the route in the monk's memory, Su Qin quickly arrived at the bottom of the meditation room at the very end of the east wing.
He raised his head, his eyes piercing through the layers of mud to see the scene inside the room.
There was indeed a white-skinned, blue-eyed monk in the room, who, apart from his hairstyle, looked almost exactly like the attacker they had killed earlier.
The monk was rummaging through drawers and cabinets, fiddling with something. There was a backpack next to him, and he was stuffing things into it.
Su Qin immediately understood that this guy seemed to be trying to escape. Luckily, he arrived in time, otherwise he would have really gotten away.
The monk packed all the important things into his backpack, then picked up the two golden pistols from the table and tucked them into his waistband.
He was indeed preparing to leave, but there was no panic in his eyes, only resentment and bitterness.
"Damn yellow pig! When I get the chance, I'll kill your whole family."
Although the monk was filled with rage, he had no choice but to leave.
"That demon tamer from Dajing City is terrifying; he managed to kill two of my clones in such a short time."
Moreover, even howitzers couldn't kill it, suggesting it possesses a demonic aura. It's beyond my ability to confront head-on. I must leave immediately before being discovered, otherwise I might not be able to escape.
But as soon as the monk stood up and picked up his backpack, he suddenly froze, and the resentment in his eyes intensified.
"Damn yellow-skinned pig! If you want my life, you won't get away with it either!"
His reaction was swift; he detected Su Qin's attack as soon as it began. He clapped his hands rapidly, but like his previous clone, he was unable to withstand the attack of the vengeful ghost and activate his own supernatural abilities.
An unseen ghostly hand grabbed his head, rendering him completely immobile, while his feet were also gripped tightly by a pair of hands that emerged from the ground, rapidly pulling him underground.
But he couldn't struggle, couldn't resist, and couldn't even let out a scream as he was dragged to the ground.
His consciousness was successfully ripped from his head by the ghostly hand, and instantly he became a stiff corpse.
However, Su Qin's expression turned extremely ugly at this moment.
"Damn it! We got tricked!"
That monk wasn't the real body, or rather, he abandoned his original body and ran away, leaving behind only bait.
The monocle shattered again, and the monk's consciousness also shattered. There was not a trace of the vengeful ghost in his body. All of this proved that this was not the true form of the ghost tamer at all.
Su Qin quickly expanded the search area, leaving a physical clone here. Where had the original consciousness gone? Just how many clones were there?
However, when Su Qin's gaze extended further, he was astonished to find...
In the room above, the lights flickered as if there was a wiring problem, the surrounding walls began to deteriorate and become moldy, layers of moss grew on the ground, and weeds even sprouted out of nowhere.
This change is rapidly spreading to the surrounding areas, enveloping the entire Kim Sonsa Temple in just a few breaths.
A chilling and eerie feeling instantly enveloped Su Qin's body. At that moment, he realized that he had truly been tricked by that damned foreigner. This was clearly an unknown ghost realm.
The demonic realm had already enveloped him, and now he couldn't escape even if he wanted to.
squeak~
In the room above, there was a wooden cabinet. As if a faint, eerie breeze was blowing, the half-closed cabinet door slowly opened.
Inside the dark cabinet sat a black, withered monk's corpse, with broken pieces of gold shell scattered around it.
Crunch~ Crunch
The monk's corpse suddenly trembled, its joints writhing and making eerie creaking sounds, as if it were trying to emerge from the cabinet.
"grass!"
Su Qin couldn't help but curse aloud, and at the same time quickly slithered underground to get away from this place.
He never expected that there was an unknown vengeful ghost in the cabinet in the room above his head. He hadn't noticed it at all before, and only realized something was wrong now that the vengeful ghost had resurrected and the ghost realm had appeared.
That damned foreigner wasn't packing to run away when he was ransacking the place; he was releasing a vengeful ghost. It was a trap set for him, waiting for him to walk right into it.
"Tamad, you damned foreign devil, don't let me find you, or I'll skin you alive!"
