Chapter 215: The Rift's Counterattack
Chapter 215: The Rift's Counterattack
The observer's gaze was devoid of sorrow or joy: "Freedom and order have never been opposed, but rather coexist. Your choices have brought freedom, but have also led to countless deviations in destiny. The awakening of the chaotic core is the result of this deviation. If these deviations cannot be corrected, the universe will fall into an endless collapse."
The Chaos Core sneered, "So you want them to bear all of this? You think the choices of these two humans can salvage your so-called balance?"
Ignoring the core of chaos, the observer continued to Isaac: "You need to find the ultimate answer between freedom and order. Otherwise, the trajectory of fate will be irreparable, and the power of chaos will completely devour the universe."
Isaac remained silent for a moment, gripping the Blade of Rules tightly. His gaze was resolute, yet his heart was filled with doubt. Faced with such a complex situation, he needed to find deeper answers.
Just then, a blinding beam of light suddenly appeared in the center of the star chart. Within the beam, a dynamic scene unfolded, reflecting countless collapsing stars and their shattered trajectories. Each star emitted intense energy fluctuations, as if it might explode at any moment.
"What are these?" Mira asked, her eyes full of doubt.
The observer explained, "These are fragments of fate, and also deviations from the trajectory in the multidimensional universe. Each star represents a dimension that has broken free from the rules, and the shattering of these trajectories is precisely because fate and chaos cannot reach a balance."
“If these trajectories cannot be repaired…” the observer’s voice deepened, “the multidimensional universe will collapse completely.”
Isaac gazed at the trails, a pang of pain shooting through him. He knew these fragments might be connected to his own choices. His choices had shattered the shackles of fate, but also plunged the entire universe into unpredictable danger.
“So,” Isaac began slowly, “were our choices destined to be wrong?”
The observer shook his head: "There are no right or wrong choices, only consequences. Your choices are the inevitable result of the universe's development, but how to correct these consequences is a trial you must face."
Just as Isaac was lost in thought, a deep rumble suddenly came from within the pillar of light. Then, a tall figure emerged from it. He was covered in dazzling star-studded armor, each piece radiating a chilling aura. His eyes burned like stars, and he gripped a massive scepter.
When the observer saw him, he frowned slightly: "Star Judge, why are you here?"
The Arbiter coldly swept his gaze across everyone present, his voice deep and authoritative: "Observer of Fate, you have interfered far too much. The balance between fate and chaos should be restored by the universe itself, not by your manipulation."
"Manipulation?" The observer's tone revealed a hint of anger. "I'm doing this to save the balance of the universe!"
The adjudicator sneered: "Salvation? Your judgment will only exacerbate the conflict and ultimately plunge the universe into deeper chaos. Now, I will take over here."
Before he finished speaking, he suddenly swung his scepter, and a powerful energy surge spread outwards. The entire star map instantly became unstable, the cracks widened again, and the halo of the chaotic core was activated, beginning to spin wildly.
The observer tried to stabilize the situation but was forced back several steps by the Arbiter's power. His gaze was cold, and his voice was deep: "Star Arbiter, your power will only make things worse!"
However, the Arbiter did not respond. Instead, he turned to Isaac and Mira and said coldly, "Your choices have already failed. Now, hand over your power and let me reshape the order of the universe!"
Isaac gripped the blade of rules, his gaze sharp as a knife: "You think we'll obey your orders? Our freedom of choice needs no one to take it from us!"
With the appearance of the Arbiter, the entire space descended into chaos. The power surging from the rifts grew stronger and stronger, and the trajectory of the star map began to collapse rapidly. The halo of the chaotic core gradually expanded, seemingly on the verge of completely spiraling out of control.
The Observer roared, "Isaac, Mira, you must stop him! The power of the Star Judge will utterly destroy the balance of the universe!"
However, the Arbiter smiled coldly, suddenly swung his scepter, and launched an attack on the pillar of light in the center of the star chart.
"This is your final choice!" The adjudicator's voice boomed like thunder. "Stand with me, or be my enemy!"
Isaac and Mira exchanged a glance, their eyes flashing with unwavering resolve. Their answer was already self-evident.
"We choose our own path!" Isaac roared, wielding the Blade of Rules and charging straight at the Arbiter.
The scepter in the Arbiter's hand erupted with blazing starlight, enveloping the entire star map in blinding light. The edges of the cracks trembled under the influence of the scepter's radiance, as if they were about to collapse completely at any moment. The halo of the Chaos Core also began to spin violently, and an indescribable sense of oppression permeated the entire space.
“Isaac, Mira.” The Arbiter’s voice boomed like thunder, his gaze cold and imposing. “You refused to submit to the rules of fate, and now you dare to try to control your own destiny? How naive. Hand over your power; this is your last chance.”
Isaac stepped forward, gripping the blade of rules tightly, his eyes unwavering: "Our choices need not be forced, nor will they ever be taken away. Arbitrator, your power may be great, but you are no more trustworthy than those shackles that have been broken."
“Foolish.” The Arbiter sneered, raising his scepter and pointing it at Isaac. “Before power, choice is nothing but an illusion. Your so-called freedom is merely an escape from reality. Let me show you what true order is!”
He swung his scepter violently, and a blinding beam of light descended from the sky, heading straight for Isaac and Mira. This beam of light carried terrifying power, almost shattering space itself. Isaac swiftly wielded the Blade of Rules to meet the beam of light. The golden radiance of the rules collided with the intense light of the stars in the void, unleashing a deafening explosion.
“Mira!” Isaac gritted his teeth, steadied the Blade of Rules, and shouted, turning his head, “I need your power!”
"Understood!" Mira leaped into the air without hesitation, her light blade bursting with dazzling silver light as it pierced straight at the Arbiter's scepter. In an instant, silver and gold intertwined, as if the Milky Way had fallen to earth, tearing a rift in the Arbiter's pillar of light.
However, the adjudicator was not swayed by this, his gaze carrying a hint of contempt: "Is this all your strength? It is far from enough to shake me in the slightest."
