Chapter 6: The Power Struggle, the World Government's Complete Control
Chapter 6: The Power Struggle, the World Government's Complete Control
Although the Five Elders' plan was meticulous, they never expected that Isaac's ambition and power had already infiltrated the core of the World Government. At this moment, Isaac is quietly and gradually gaining control of the World Government's upper echelons through the system's "world manipulation function," shaking the foundations of the Five Elders' rule.
"System, check the current control progress," Isaac commanded in his mind.
[Ding! Current control progress:]
World Government High-Level Control Completion Rate: 25%
Successfully controlled high-ranking officials: the World Government's Minister of Intelligence and Minister of Logistics.
Next target: Director-General of the World Government's Security Department
Isaac looked at the system panel, a slight smile playing on his lips. He had successfully gained control of two key figures in the World Government: the Minister of Intelligence and the Minister of Logistics. While their power didn't match that of the Five Elders, they played crucial roles within the World Government. By controlling the intelligence network, Isaac could grasp all the Five Elders' plans and movements, while logistical control meant he could cut off their resource supply at critical moments.
Kizaru stood lazily to the side, observing Isaac's every move, and asked with a smile, "Young Master, it seems that half of the World Government's high-ranking officials have already fallen under your control."
Isaac nodded slightly: "That's not enough. What I need is complete control. Only by completely dismantling all the Five Elders' forces can we truly leave them with nowhere to retreat."
Kizaru smiled, seemingly unsurprised by Isaac's calm and meticulous plan. He yawned and said, "So, what are your plans next, young master? How do you intend to deal with those high-ranking officials who haven't been brought under control yet? They might not submit as easily as the Minister of Intelligence and the Minister of Logistics."
Isaac chuckled softly, a profound light gleaming in his eyes: "I don't need to deal with the remaining targets alone; the system will handle that for me. Through the 'World Manipulation' function, I can create a crisis that will force those stubborn individuals to submit to me."
"Oh my, young master's methods are truly admirable," Kizaru said with a smile, a hint of appreciation in his eyes.
Isaac ignored Kizaru's flattery and calmly analyzed the next steps: "Next, I will use the intelligence minister I have already controlled to create a 'crisis' against the World Government, and then point the finger at the Five Elders. At that time, those neutral high-ranking officials will have to choose between the Five Elders and me."
Kizaru raised an eyebrow slightly, seemingly quite interested in the plan: "Young Master means... to force them to choose between the two? If they choose the wrong side, the consequences will be very serious."
Isaac sneered, “Exactly. The Five Elders’ prestige has begun to crumble, and I will let that crumble gradually turn into panic. When the World Government’s higher-ups realize that the Five Elders can no longer provide them with protection, they will naturally choose to stand on my side.”
Kizaru clapped his hands lightly and laughed, "Then I'll wait and see how the Five Elders gradually head towards their end."
Isaac nodded. He knew that while the Five Elders were powerful, they were not invincible. As long as one controlled the key levers of power, it would be easy to pull them down from the top.
Meanwhile, in the World Government's core conference room, the meeting of the five elders was held once again. The five elders sat around a long table, their expressions solemn.
“Our assassination squad was wiped out. Isaac’s power is beyond what can be measured by common sense,” Belmont said coldly, his eyes filled with deep apprehension.
“He not only defeated our assassins, but also weakened part of our control over the World Government.” Another of the Five Elders frowned, his tone revealing anxiety. “He has taken control of the top leaders of the intelligence and logistics departments, causing problems with our resource allocation and making it impossible for many operations to proceed smoothly.”
“We can’t just sit here and wait to die,” Belmont said in a deep voice. “Isaac’s power is expanding too fast. We must take more direct measures sooner, or he will take control of the entire world government.”
“But what can we do now? The assassination has failed, and his power is practically invincible.” Another of the Five Elders looked ashen-faced, clearly feeling powerless in the face of Isaac’s rise.
A cold glint flashed in Belmont's eyes: "Since direct attacks are ineffective, we must cut off his support. Kizaru is Isaac's right-hand man. If we can manage to eliminate Kizaru, Isaac's strength will be greatly diminished."
“Kizaru’s Devil Fruit ability is indeed powerful; he is almost invincible.” Another of the Five Elders shook his head, seemingly skeptical of the plan.
Belmont sneered: "The Devil Fruit ability is indeed powerful, but we are not without means of countering it. We can summon the top combatants of CP0; they have methods specifically designed to target Devil Fruit users. Kizaru is powerful, but he is not invincible."
The Five Elders exchanged glances, and after a moment, finally nodded: "Alright, let's proceed with this plan. We will mobilize CP0's forces to directly target Kizaru. Once we eliminate him, Isaac will once again lose the core strength of his rule."
Isaac's side
Isaac was unaware that the Five Elders had decided to take more direct action against him, but he anticipated they wouldn't sit idly by. Through the system, Isaac quickly grasped the Five Elders' reaction and prepared to take his next step.
"System, initiate the next phase of the plan," Isaac coldly commanded.
[Ding! The system has activated the 'High-Level Instability' plan.]
[The intelligence agencies began rapidly spreading false information: an assassination plot targeting high-ranking officials was brewing within the World Government, and the Five Elders were the masterminds behind it.]
The higher-ups have begun to doubt the Five Elders' abilities, and a sense of panic is gradually spreading.
Isaac nodded in satisfaction. Through the intelligence department's control, he had fabricated a massive conspiracy theory, pointing all the blame at the Five Elders. The purpose of this operation was very clear: to gradually erode the trust of the World Government's leadership in the Five Elders, ultimately undermining their rule.
"Next, it's just a matter of waiting for the right moment to strike back," Isaac muttered to himself, his eyes filled with a cold determination.
A few days later, the Five Elders' plan officially began.
As night fell, CP0's elite forces stealthily infiltrated Mary Geoise. Their objective was clear—to kill Kizaru and destroy Isaac's core strength. CP0 members are rigorously trained elites, specializing in carrying out the World Government's most confidential and dangerous missions. Their methods are highly efficient, and they almost never fail.
"Target confirmed, Kizaru is at Isaac's mansion," the CP0 leader whispered through his headset, a hint of killing intent flashing in his eyes.
"Prepare for action, kill them all in one fell swoop," he commanded.
However, just as they were quietly approaching the mansion, Isaac's voice came from the darkness, with a hint of sneer: "You dogs of the Five Elders, you really don't know what's good for you."
The CP0 members were instantly alert, but it was too late. Kizaru appeared before them like a ghost, golden beams of light bursting from his fingertips, slicing through the night sky in an instant, the blinding light making it almost impossible for them to open their eyes.
"Oh dear, the Five Elders are really impatient." Kizaru chuckled lazily, but his attack was ruthless. Golden lasers rained down, and before the CP0 members could even react, they were instantly struck by the beams and turned into charred corpses.
The CP0 leader was pale, his eyes filled with terror. He knew he was no match for Kizaru, but the failure of this mission meant he would have no way to explain himself to the Five Elders.
