Chapter 96 The Rampaging Rhinoceros!

Today was destined to be anything but peaceful. Goten had finally been invited by S.H.I.E.L.D. to tour the Helicarrier. Seeing all sorts of high-tech equipment, Goten's childlike heart was unusually awakened, and he couldn't help but ask Black Widow, who was guiding him, "Can I..."

However, before Wutian could speak, Black Widow ruthlessly interrupted him, replying, "No, nothing here is to be moved without Fury's orders."

Having no other choice, Wutian had to obediently meet with Fury. Upon arriving at Fury's side, Fury got straight to the point: "Hello kid, welcome. I invited you here today for two reasons. First, to test our newly developed combat robot, and second, to invite you to join our S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy."

Upon hearing this, Goten asked in confusion, "Does Iron Man know about this?"

Fury said directly, "He understands you perfectly well. He's the one who recommended you. He thinks you need to study, as a child, and that knowledge is very important—something you must master besides strength. I don't think your mother would want you to waste your life."

Having no other choice, Goten agreed to Fury's request to recruit him. However, Goten requested that before entering the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy, he try out some of the S.H.I.E.L.D.'s small-scale technologies that he could use. Seeing this, Fury had no choice but to choose some harmless products to satisfy Goten's curiosity...

So Goten took the "toy" Fury gave him and started wandering around S.H.I.E.L.D. Suddenly, he bumped into a black guy. Upon seeing who it was, Goten immediately became alert and shouted, "You're... Venom! How dare you swagger around like this? Looks like I need to stretch my muscles a bit!"

The person Goten bumped into was Flash Thompson, Spider-Man's classmate who had merged with Venom. Now known as Agent Venom, Thompson looked at Goten and teased, "Wow! Kid, Flash isn't a thug anymore, so I won't bully anyone. Get out of the way, I'm going to find Spider-Man!"

Wutian was completely bewildered upon hearing this, but he still followed Thompson's steps. Before figuring out the other party's purpose, Wutian did not intend to let his guard down. So Wutian asked questions as he walked, and finally figured out that the Venom in front of him was called Agent Venom and was now Spider-Man's partner.

After learning that Goten was Spider-Man's friend, Thompson immediately became sworn brothers with him. The two soon arrived at Spider-Man's side, laughing and joking. Spider-Man had just finished one of Connors' tests and was curious about why Goten was there.

In response to Spider-Man's question, Wutian explained, "The Avengers don't lack fighting power for the time being, so for the sake of my studies, I've decided to obey Iron Man's arrangement and enter your so-called S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy for academic learning."

Upon hearing this, Lightning Thompson immediately patted Wutian on the shoulder and said, "Then we're classmates now, that's great. I'll take good care of you from now on, big brother."

Ignoring Flash Thompson's statement, Goten asked Spider-Man what the rather imposing Iron Spider armor in front of him was for.

Spider-Man was about to answer when he was interrupted by a voice from the side. The group turned around and saw a strong and muscular rhinoceros being restrained. Spider-Man went over to check on it and asked, "Oh, it's Alex. How is he (to Connors)?"

However, Connors' words shocked Rhino, who bluntly stated, "The chemicals Rhino took caused irreversible changes in his body."

Upon hearing this, the rhinoceros exclaimed in shock, "What? That means I can never turn back, I can't go back to school... I can't go home!"

Spider-Man immediately calmed Rhino down when he saw him getting agitated. However, Flash Thompson said, "Calm down, bro. Look at me. I used to be nobody, but now look, I'm a superhero, studying at S.H.I.E.L.D. with Spider-Man."

Upon hearing this, the rhinoceros demanded, "Who are you? What do you have to do with me?"

At this moment, Agent Venom revealed Thompson's true form. Rhino was shocked and his voice became even more agitated: "Thompson? The one who bullied me! Now he's a hero, and I've become a monster! No!!!"

Seeing this, Goten said to Thompson, "I think you'd be better off staying quiet, Lightning. We're a bit busy right now."

Just as Goten predicted, Rhino, enraged, successfully broke free of his restraints and charged out of the S.H.I.E.L.D. carrier, even with Spider-Man and Agent Venom on his back. Goten realized that Rhino hadn't harmed him and was acting impulsively, so he said to Connors, "I'll stop him. Consider it proof of my enrollment. Remember to get Fury to give me extra points!" With that, he teleported away from Connors' sight.

Meanwhile, in the air, the Venom agent deployed his web to form a parachute, but the web that Spider-Man shot at the rhino couldn't support its weight, causing the rhino to crash heavily to the ground.

The rhinoceros, having stood up, immediately saw Goten standing in front of him and demanded, "You brat, where did you come from? I remember you should still be on that aircraft carrier!"

Ignoring the rhinoceros's questions, Goten said bluntly, "Listen up, Alex. You should be older than me, so calm down. Blindly unleashing your power is what makes you a real monster. So let's all calm down..."

Goten was still trying to persuade him, but the next second, as Venom and Spider-Man landed, Rhino immediately became enraged again and charged directly at Venom. Seeing this, Goten couldn't help but wonder why they couldn't slow down when they should.

The rhinoceros, now enraged again, sent Spider-Man and Venom flying in a few blows. Seeing this, Goten had no choice but to intervene. He quickly ran to the rhinoceros, and to Venom's shock, Goten punched the rhinoceros back several meters.

The rhinoceros was knocked back by Goten's punch, its face full of disbelief. Upon hearing this, the rhinoceros finally calmed down. Just as Goten relaxed a little, the ground suddenly shook, and soon a giant beast emerged from underground. Upon seeing this, Goten asked, "Does anyone know how this giant monster woke up?"

Seeing the giant beast begin to wreak havoc, Goten said to Rhino Alex, "The opportunity is right in front of you. Take the first step bravely, and you can become a hero. Come on, brother!" With that, Goten charged ahead of the giant beast...

Spider-Man and Agent Venom immediately followed, while Rhino, after thinking for three seconds, decisively made his choice, charging at the giant beast and knocking it to the ground with all his might. Wutian immediately followed up with a powerful double kick to its face, and Spider-Man and Agent Venom worked together to subdue the giant beast with their webs...

After subduing the giant beast, Fury called just then, and Goten immediately covered for him, saying, "Reporting to Chief Fury, a giant beast appeared in the city, and a rhinoceros sensed its presence... no, it was Alex who brought Spider-Man and me to the city in time to stop the beast's attack!"
