"Agh—" A shrill scream rang out.
It opened its mouth, revealing sharp teeth, and let out a low roar.
A monitor lizard.
1. It was the same giant beast that had attacked Nami and the others in the sea before. This ferocious giant sea monster bared its fangs, inspiring fear in all who beheld it. Nami instinctively hid in the shadow of the rocks.
0 "Miss, don't worry. It called me." 0.5
“I understand,” González said reassuringly.
1 “Huh?”
⑥This is truly unexpected. Nami's gaze fell upon the giant beast once more.
7. If you observe it closely, you'll see a metal helmet on its head with a belt. This armor features a large skeleton and crab pattern, identical to the Gonzak pirate flag. This means it was indeed domesticated by humans.
1. Gonzak's arm stretched out nimbly. The brachiosaurus's head slowly lowered. Its nose was held in Gonzak's hand.
"What an adorable child."
5. Chapter 317: The Person Behind the Scenes!
5. As González spoke, he stroked the long-necked giant beast.
"Have you grown up yet?"
Nami was startled. How could such a ferocious creature as the brachiosaurus be so close to humans?
"This is your lifeline. Wait, it's Enlong who's..."
The joke González told wasn't funny; it was a completely unnecessary irony. It seemed that this giant beast had seized Nano. He must have kidnapped her.
"Hopefully he could have been a little gentler while rescuing people."
Nami cautiously emerged from the shadow of the rock, warily scanning her surroundings. She certainly didn't want to rush into the enemy's "shooting range."
"That's very impolite. I think I need to teach this lady some manners."
González thought he was joking.
"Boss!" Luffy shouted.
Just then, a man ran over.
"Boss, 22, you're here? I've been looking for you!"
The man with a full beard spoke in a hoarse, low voice, as if someone were choking him, like a sea lion or a seal. He looked like one of González's pirates. Then several more men appeared at the door and surrounded González.
"what's the situation?"
González looked sternly at the people around him.
Nami covered her nose with her hand, making no attempt to hide her disgust. The moment these people appeared, a stench of sweat filled the air—no wonder, the pirates rarely bathed and didn't use perfume, so they always smelled like livestock.
Zik and Aldo are at the beach...
"That's what the burly man with the thick beard said."
He looked up and saw his companions carrying two unconscious pirates towards him. One was a tall, thin man, and the other a portly, fat one—these two unfortunate fellows were the ones Luffy had beaten up on the beach earlier. One was Aldo, and the other was Zeke. These were probably not names given to them by their parents, but rather nicknames.
"Who did it?"
"Could they be someone from the village?"
"But everyone in the village has been arrested."
"Could it have been done by the old man and the brat?"
"Who is it?"
"Is he from the village?"
The pirates chattered amongst themselves. Nami covered her ears with her hands—the pirates' voices sounded like a rutting gorilla courting its prey.
González shouted, unable to hold back any longer.
"Shut up! Stop yelling! Don't you think it's incredibly rude to be so noisy in front of a lady? Idiots! Yeah! Are your brains full of cobwebs? You'll never learn, you bunch of useless trash!"
"However, boss."
"Here we go again! Didn't I tell you to call me boss? You idiot! I'm not some rogue pirate! I'm a nobleman of the sea race, with both integrity and good manners! Gonzak, a pirate nobleman! Call me Mr. Gonzak!"
González cursed loudly, and the pirates were so frightened that they dared not utter a sound, like children being scolded by a teacher.
“Mr. Gonzac, Mr. Gonzac. Someone knocked them out on the island…”
"This is the first time the bearded pirate has addressed González as 'sir'," he said awkwardly.
"Even a fool would know that!"
"What should I do?"
"Idiot!" Gonzak, unable to contain his anger, punched the bearded pirate on the head. "Don't bother with these trivial matters! Wake those two up and find out who did it!"
González ordered his men to carry the two unconscious, unfortunate men to a spot near the water.
Whoosh!
González ordered them to be thrown into the sea and extinguished with water. Then he shouted.
"Idiot, wake up!"
González grabbed the tall, thin pirate Aldo by the collar and roughly lifted him up.
"what!"
“Stop asking.” González pried open Aldo’s eyes. “Who did it? Hmm?”
"...Ouch! Boss!"
boom!
Aldo finally came to his senses and was punched on the bridge of his nose.
"Your Excellency González".
Aldo's face was covered in blood, and Coco stammered, correcting him, "Mr. González, that...that brat...707..."
"Kids? Those kids on the island?"
González frowned.
"N-no...never seen him before! Oh, maybe he's a wanderer!"
"How many people came?"
"Just this much..."
clang!
González's elbow slammed into Aldo's head, and Aldo's frail body crashed onto the beach like a wooden stake struck by a hammer.
Then, González grabbed Zik by the chest.
"You two adults were beaten down by a mere brat?"
"He...he's not an ordinary child! He's a monster..."
Zik defended himself in a trembling voice.
"A monster?" Nami raised an eyebrow.
“That’s right!” Nami nodded.
"What a joke! If you want to talk in your sleep, go talk in your mother's arms!"
“It’s true! That guy’s arms creak and stretch out like an octopus…”
Zik tried his best to explain.
"And then you got beaten to a pulp by this octopus monster?"
Chapter 318: The Pirate's Dream!
"Yes, that's right!"
"Bullshit!" Nami sneered.
Gonzak released his grip on Zik's chest, and Zik fell onto the beach. Gonzak then stomped hard on Zik's head.
"You bastard, do you think I'm stupid?"
"Boss, I absolutely wouldn't dare!"
boom!
Gonzak kicked Zik's round belly hard. Zik bounced up like a ball, flying straight for several meters before crashing heavily into the sea.
"What I hate most are idiots, liars, and thieves."
