Of course.
If Wanyu were to be harmed, he, as her father, would naturally not let it go easily.
However, these are just his worst-case scenarios.
Now it seems that Su Mingyang did give him a pretty good impression.
"Thank you for your affirmation, Uncle."
It would be a lie to say that Su Mingyang wasn't excited when he heard this.
He was a little embarrassed by the fact that Wan Yu's father had commented on his ambition.
In fact, he's just a complete slacker...
It seems I still need to work harder in the future.
Su Mingyang thought to himself.
Lin Wanyu was pleased to hear that her father did not object to her being with Mingyang.
I was incredibly excited.
He jumped up and shouted, "Long live Daddy! Daddy, I love you!"
"Haha." Wanyu's father laughed twice and asked, "Wanyu, I want to ask you, do you love your father more, or do you love Mingyang more?"
"Huh?" Lin Wanyu was taken aback by the question. After a couple of seconds of contemplation, she smiled and said, "My love for Daddy is completely different from my love for Mingyang. How can you compare them?"
“I know that. It’s just a difference between family and love. I just want to ask, Wanyu, which do you value more?” Wanyu’s father said. “For example, if I were to object to you two being together, between Daddy and Mingyang, who would you choose?”
Su Mingyang chuckled inwardly.
He himself, his future father-in-law, really enjoys competing with others for his daughter's love.
A total doting father to his daughter.
"Daddy, what kind of question is that? I refuse to answer!" Lin Wanyu rolled her eyes, her pouting like a pufferfish. "I'll get angry if you ask me again."
"Okay, okay, I won't ask anymore, alright?" Wanyu's father said, both amused and exasperated.
Wanyu's mother, watching from the side, was utterly speechless.

The four then chatted about many other topics.
Before we knew it, it was lunchtime.
Wanyu's father originally wanted to call the driver to book a restaurant.
Lin Wanyu interrupted him, laughing, "Daddy, why go to a restaurant? A family should eat at home to create a better atmosphere."
"Hmm." Wanyu's father thought about it and felt it made sense. "Then let the restaurant deliver the food to our home."
"Oh, no need, no need." Lin Wanyu quickly waved her hand, "Daddy, you didn't understand what I meant."
"What do you mean?" Wanyu's father was truly bewildered.
Wanyu's mother seemed to realize something, and looked at her husband with disdain: "How can you be so dense? Our daughter means she wants to eat my cooking."
"Oh, I see." Wanyu's father slapped his forehead and said awkwardly, "Haha, my brain just doesn't work when it matters."
Lin Wanyu covered her mouth and chuckled twice, saying, "Mommy, that's not what I meant—you guessed wrong."
"Oh, daughter, you don't want to eat Mommy's cooking?" Wan-Yu's mother was stunned.
Wanyu's father seized the opportunity to tease, "Is there any need to say that? You haven't cooked for almost two years since Wanyu left home. Who knows how good your cooking is now? If it doesn't taste good, wouldn't it make Wanyu lose face in front of Mingyang?"
"You talk too much!" Wanyu's mother rolled her eyes, but had to admit that he was right.
“Uncle, you’re being too polite. Face and such things mean nothing in front of family,” Su Mingyang said. “If I could eat Aunt’s cooking today, I would be very happy. No matter how good or bad it is, at least it tastes like home. I haven’t eaten cooking from my elders for a long time since my parents passed away.”
“That makes sense, that makes sense. If we don’t talk about saving face in front of family, then…” Wanyu’s father smiled and looked at Wanyu’s mother.
Wan Yu's mother was deeply moved by Su Mingyang's words. She was growing to like her future son-in-law more and more, and said, "It's alright, Mingyang. Today, Auntie is not doing this for any other reason than to cook for you."
"Thank you, Auntie," Su Mingyang said with a smile.
Lin Wanyu was very pleased to see that Su Mingyang got along so well with her parents. However, she suddenly thought of a question and frowned, saying, "Mommy, if you cook, what am I supposed to do?"
"What else can you do? Of course, you just wait to eat." Wanyu's mother reached out and gently pinched Lin Wanyu's nose. "You don't actually know how to cook, do you?"
Speaking of this, Lin Wanyu stood up, put her hands on her hips, and said very proudly, "Of course I can! Didn't I tell you on the phone before?"
She's not bragging; she's genuinely confident.
“You did say that, but…” A hint of doubt flashed in Wanyu’s mother’s eyes.
When Lin Wanyu told her on the phone that she had learned to cook, she didn't take it seriously at all, thinking that the other party was just bragging.
Wanyu's father shared the same thought.
"But what? I already know how to do it." Seeing her parents' expressions, she knew they didn't believe her, and immediately became a little dissatisfied. "If you don't believe me, ask Mingyang."
"Is it true?" Wanyu's parents turned their gaze to Su Mingyang.
“Wanyu does know how, and she does it quite well.” Su Mingyang played along with Lin Wanyu’s boasting.
"Really?" Wanyu's parents were quite surprised.
When she was at home, Wanyu couldn't even cook, let alone eat; the maid had to pay for her meals.
"Hehe, did you hear that?" Lin Wanyu raised an eyebrow. "Mommy, I'm not bragging, but my cooking skills have definitely surpassed yours now."
Hearing this, Wanyu's mother shook her head, feeling that Lin Wanyu was too ignorant of her own limitations. She said with a wry smile, "Although your mother hasn't cooked for almost two years, Wanyu, don't forget that I learned from Chef Liu in our family. I'm practically his apprentice. Chef Liu has cooked for state banquets, you know."
“Master Liu is Master Liu, and Mommy is Mommy. Can their skill levels be the same? Even a famous teacher doesn’t necessarily produce outstanding students,” Lin Wanyu said.
Su Mingyang couldn't help but chuckle; Wanyu was becoming more and more talkative.
“Wanyu’s words make sense,” Wanyu’s father said. “How about this, you two have a competition later.”
“No problem.” Lin Wanyu nodded without hesitation.
Wanyu's mother agreed: "Okay, I also want to see how good our daughter's cooking is."
"Then I'll be your assistant," Su Mingyang said with a smile.
"it is good."
After making the decision.
Lin Wanyu helped her mother change into a set of home clothes so that her original clothes wouldn't get dirty when she cooked later.
Su Mingyang asked the two what dishes they were going to cook, and then went out to the market to buy ingredients.
He was about to get into the elevator when a question suddenly occurred to him.
He quickly called Lin Wanyu out.
"What's wrong, Mingyang?"
"Should I buy a bottle of 82 Lafite?" Su Mingyang said half-jokingly.
"Why buy that?" Lin Wanyu asked, puzzled.
"Drink, what else? Don't your uncle and aunt have red wine with their meals?" Su Mingyang laughed.
“They don’t drink that,” Lin Wanyu shook her head.
"What do they drink? Romanée-Conti? Or Bordeaux, or Burgundy? Or do they prefer white wine instead of red wine?" Su Mingyang asked.
"I don't drink any of them." Lin Wanyu shook her head with a smile. "Just buy a bottle of Coke."
"Cola?" Su Mingyang was stunned; this was somewhat unexpected.
“Yes, we usually drink Coke at family gatherings. We only prepare red wine when friends come to visit,” Lin Wanyu explained.
"So that's how it is." Su Mingyang said with a sudden realization, "I didn't realize that cola had such a wide appeal."
"Hehe, of course, cola tastes much better than red wine." Lin Wanyu smiled, then her eyes darted around as she asked, "Mingyang, you don't think my parents drink red wine like water, do you?"

Su Mingyang was a little embarrassed. "I'm not going to say anything more. I'm going to buy groceries. You go chat with your mom."
"Okay, come back soon."
"Ah."
Lin Wanyu saw Su Mingyang into the elevator, and then returned to her suite.
Wanyu's mother gave her a knowing look and teased, "What are you two whispering about?"
"No, we weren't whispering anything," Lin Wanyu denied with a smile.
"Still not admitting it." Wanyu's mother smiled and pulled Lin Wanyu to her side. "Come on, let's go to your bedroom. Mommy has something to tell you."
"Okay." Lin Wanyu nodded, then turned to look at her father. "Daddy, please sit down."
"Go ahead." Wanyu's father understood what they were going to do and waved his hand.
Lin Wanyu had no choice but to take her mother into the bedroom.
Wanyu's mother glanced at the bedroom's layout and said, "It's so clean, Mingyang must have cleaned it, right?"
"Ah."
