Chapter 490 The Mysterious Holy Son Tower

Chapter 490 The Mysterious Holy Son Tower

"This place is like a complicated maze." Anakin Skywalker couldn't help but complain. They had gotten lost in these intricate corridors several times.

"That's probably how it's designed." Black Panther's sharp eyes swept through every door and corridor they passed. "This is a realm full of betrayal and deception."

Black Panther and Anakin had arrived at the Tower of the Child not long ago, and that seemed to be the easy part. The real challenge was finding your way around the building.

Searching for Ahsoka, the Son, and Spider-Man is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

"Obi-Wan was right about this place," Anakin said, frowning. "The dark side of the Force...it's in the air."

"I agree with you," Black Panther said, "I can feel a great pressure around me. Is this the Force we and the rest of the team are feeling?"

"Yes, but you are all now disconnected from the Force," Anakin reminded him, "but perhaps this place is so powerful that you can feel its presence."

Black Panther fell into deep thought, frowning as he considered this possibility. "Maybe you're right. But I think there may be other reasons."

Just as he was pondering the meaning of this sentence, he turned a corner in the corridor and was stunned by the scene in front of him. He no longer saw the ancient building of the Holy Child Tower, but was in a completely unfamiliar place.

Despite the high-tech feel of the place, the ancient buildings have been replaced by something more advanced - modern elements that seem to have come from Earth.

"What's going on? Where is Anakin?" He wondered.

Just as he was about to look around for answers, his eyes fell on something he hadn't seen in a long time - Dora Milaje.

Two Dora Milaje warriors stood in the doorway, along with another mysterious figure. As he approached, he tried to communicate with them, but found that they didn't seem to hear him. When he reached out his hand, it seemed to pass through their bodies, as if they were holograms or spirits, or he himself was.

It was then that his eyes fell on the man beside them - a man with an ornate belt around his waist, and dressed in a familiar suit of armor.

That's Black Panther, the protector of Wakanda.

At the moment the door slowly opened, a tall guardian stood quietly at the far end of the corridor. Dora Milaje walked in and found herself in a familiar apartment.

T'Challa followed closely behind, his eyes wandering through the space, first locking onto two people present.

One was a man in a purple shirt with a glittering gold chain around his neck, and the other was his late uncle N'Jobu, whose face looked particularly solemn under the light.

Then, one of the Dora Milaje spoke quickly in Xhosa: "Who are you?" There was an unquestionable seriousness in her tone.

"I am Prince N'Jobu, son of Azuri," T'Challa replied, his voice firm and confident.

"Prove that you are one of us." Black Panther ordered in a low voice.

N'Jobu slowly pulled down his lower lip, revealing a mouthful of white teeth, one of which was engraved with Wakanda's unique vibranium tattoo. This was undoubtedly a proof of identity.

Suddenly, Dora Milaje thrust their vibranium spears into the ground, and darkness instantly enveloped the entire space. T'Challa's heart tightened, this was a sign of an illusion. He clearly heard his footsteps entering the apartment, getting closer and closer. When the second vibranium spear hit the floor again, the lights came on again, and the guardians of Wakanda appeared.

It was all just drama, a means of catching the opponent off guard.

The moment N'Jobu saw the black panther, he quickly knelt down and pulled down another companion to imitate his movements.

"My king—" he called in a low voice.

"Let's leave this world." Black Panther said in a commanding tone.

N'Jobu shook his head. "This is James," he explained. "I trusted him with my life. He stayed...with King T'Chaka's permission."

T'Challa turned his gaze to Black Panther, and was shocked. How could he not recognize his father in his Black Panther costume? He knew that face very well, even anywhere.

Another "Black Panther" took off his helmet, revealing the face of T'Chaka, the current king of Wakanda, a face that looked young even in T'Challa's eyes.

"As you wish, dear brother," the past king said gently, "don't worry, let me see how you hold on."

N'Jobu smiled and stood up, hugging his brother. After they separated, the King of Wakanda looked around and briefly inspected the apartment. His eyes revealed a deep attachment and responsibility to his home and family. James looked very confused, but T'Challa felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity.

"You have a large stature and appear to have great strength," T'Challa praised.

N'Jobu, the Glory of Bastet, responded, "Thank you for the compliment. I owe my health to Wakanda. So, how is everything at home?"

James' eyes flashed with a haze, and he replied, "It's not what you think, brother. We were attacked." T'Chaka called up a holographic image, which was the familiar arms dealer, Klaue.

"Why does this name sound so familiar?" T'Challa whispered to himself, recalling that in his childhood, this man named Klaue had attacked Wakanda.

However, he was filled with doubts - what was the relationship between this Klaue and his father, and why did they need to find this uncle? T'Chaka continued: "He stole a lot of our vibranium and set off a bomb at the border to escape. Many people lost their lives." He paused the holographic image and turned his eyes to James, "He must know where the vibranium is hidden and how to fight against us. He has our enemies within."

At this point, T'Challa finally asked his uncle's earlier question: "Why are you here?"

N'Jobu looked at his brother with sadness in his eyes, "Because I want you to look me in the eyes and tell me why you betrayed Wakanda."

Suddenly, a head whip was lashed at N'Jobu, and to T'Challa's dismay, his uncle was a traitor among his own people.

James denied it: "I have never done anything like this."

At this point, the king turned to James and asked a simple but pressing question: "Tell me, who are you?"

"I'm Zuri, Babu's son..." James replied.

T'Challa's eyes widened again in shock. As they turned to face James, his uncle noticed the look as well. The King pulled down his lower lip, revealing Wakanda's distinctive vibranium tattoo.

This James is not who he seems, but the relative that T'Challa and Shuri have always known, beyond blood. He is the wise man and great advisor to the royal court of Wakanda.

"James. Why would you lie to me? You have always been a citizen of Wakanda."

Zuri shouted angrily: "You betrayed Wakanda!"

The king quickly entered and separated the two men, as he sensed the conflict that was about to break out.

"Do you think you're our only spy?" the ruler said coldly. Zuri walked over to a false panel on the wall of the apartment, revealing weapons and container tubes filled with vibranium, as well as a duffel bag.

N'Jobu's expression hardened, and he glared at his brother and Zuri. "I've watched for a long time." He pointed out the world outside the window, ready to make his judgment. "Leaders in the outside world are assassinated, drugs and weapons ravage communities, and people suffer from over-policing and imprisonment. They suffer because they lack the tools to fight back. With vibranium weapons, they can overthrow any country. Wakanda can rule the world... This is the right way."

T'Chaka was silent for a moment, then he spoke in a sad tone, "Prince N'Jobu, you must return home immediately. There, you will face the Council and confess your crimes to them."

At this point, the King turned to call for the Dora Milaje to subdue his brother, but N'Jobu had already quickly pulled out a gun. As the gun was pointed at them, Zuri shouted loudly, and the former Black Panther quickly responded. The gunshot was heard, but it did not hit the King, but instead the spy was knocked aside. Instinctively, T'Chaka drove his vibranium claw deep into N'Jobu's chest.

T'Challa watched in horror as his father killed his brother, all to save Zuri's life.

The king gently laid his deceased brother on the ground and closed his eyes. He quickly turned to Zuri and ordered in a serious tone: "Don't say anything."

At this moment, everything around T'Challa seemed to disappear, and he was pulled back into the Holy Tower of Mortis.

"T'Challa!" a voice rang out.

He was faced with a slightly tired look.

"Are you okay?" Anakin asked with concern. He placed his hand on the prince's shoulder, his tone calm and firm.

"-Anakin?" T'Challa's voice was trembling, as if he was trying to regain his composure. "Huh-what happened?"

"It's like you just disappeared." Anakin's voice revealed a hint of surprise, and his shoulders slumped slightly. "I looked for you for several minutes, and just when I least expected it, you reappeared. Where did you go?"

Hearing these words, Black Panther was shocked, and all kinds of doubts and worries surged into his mind.

"What do you mean? Am I not--" Black Panther tried to defend himself.

"You just disappeared," Anakin interrupted him. "We turned a corner, and I looked back, and you were gone. Then I felt the fluctuations of the Force, and found you here."

Black Panther looked around and found that he was still in the tower, but the room they were in was more like a circular space. "How on earth did I get back here?" he asked confused.

"Let me tell you." Anakin took a deep breath and calmed himself down. "I ran around looking for you. I even thought you were captured by my son."

Black Panther frowned and gently placed a hand on his head. What on earth had he just seen? This strange feeling was even stronger than anything he had experienced before. Was this Bast's revelation, or a trick of the Son of God?

He hoped to see his patronus soon, or at least return home to find answers. He had to find the truth.

He shook his head, a slightly confused and awkward smile on his face, "I'll explain later. For now, Peter and Ahsoka are still waiting for us. We have to keep moving."

Although Anakin was full of doubts, he knew that Black Panther's reminder was correct. They must not forget the purpose of this trip.

So they quickly resumed their movement, this time choosing to run in order to get through the tower faster.
