Chapter 489: Internal Conflict in Tai 1

Chapter 489: Internal Conflict in Tai 1

Deep in this strange world, heroes are embarking on their adventures, while the natives of the world are holding a meeting in a monastery. The father sits on the ground, his eyes closed, his head slightly lowered. On his right, his daughter sits with her hands clasped, as if praying silently.

Suddenly, he felt someone's presence on his left, and a familiar figure appeared in front of him.

"My child," the father spoke slowly, his eyes gradually opening, "I can see that you have grown a lot."

The son walked up to his father, his eyes wandering over him for a moment before looking up at the stone statue representing his transformation into beast form.

"Am I stronger now?" he asked softly, "Why is that?"

The father looked at his son with a serious look, "You need to know who you talk to. I have warned you many times that vanity will lead you into the abyss. This is why we are trapped."

The son sneered, "You mean we are trapped because of your vanity?" He sneered, "You imprisoned me and my sister, and built our mother's cage with your own hands."

Faced with his son's sarcasm, the father chose to remain silent and gently raised his hand to comfort his daughter.

"I... my child, I understand your frustration," the father said softly, "but you must understand why we are here. We have a duty to protect this place. We must maintain the balance of the Force so as not to disturb the Queen who is loved by the stars."

The son looked back at his father with dissatisfaction, "Don't you want her to be free? Father, don't you love her anymore?" There was a hint of morbid satisfaction in his eyes.

"I live with this regret every day, my child." The father said sincerely, but then his face turned angry. "But remember what led her to this path. Who drove her to the pool of knowledge and drink from the fountain of power? Who constantly challenged his sister, and finally led to mother becoming one of us?"

These words made the son feel guilty, but he suppressed his inner fluctuations and stared at his father. This conversation made the relationship between father and son more tense, but also made them have a deeper understanding of each other's hearts.

"We could have saved her, we could have helped her," the son argued emotionally.

"You could never hope to match the power she has now."

"No, I can!" the son retorted, "Aren't you just like her? Don't you love her? At that moment, you gave up hope for her."

"Don't speak so easily, as if you know everything about Abeloth," my father warned. "She is more powerful than any of us."

However, the son's rant about his father caused him to turn away.

"Father, times have changed. The coming of the Avengers, the Mind Stone, and that Totem."

"Their arrival does not give us the right to interfere."

"Isn't it?" the son questioned. "Didn't you lead them here in the hope of meeting the Chosen One? In the hope of seeing the potential you seek realized?"

At first, he didn't respond with a serious look. "I do want to see what I believe is possible in this galaxy." But he continued, "But I should have given up on that dream a long time ago. He is different from us, and his actions are not intentional. Even if he has the potential to improve, we have to ask, is he willing to make the choice willingly? After meeting him, I know that he will stay the same."

"But I showed you that I can reach greater powers," the son argued.

The father faced his son with a sad expression. "I led them here only to stop you from becoming more daring towards the dark side of the force. But it is not too late now, my son. Put aside your pride and vanity, and do not become someone you should not be." The father's expression became more serious, "lest I have to take you in like I did before."

The son did not seem to be shaken by his father's threats.

"Will you obey me now?" he asked quietly.

"Father, you look weak. Are you feeling unwell?"

"I haven't reached the end of my life yet," replied the father.

"Oh? Then maybe we should speed up the process!" the son challenged.

With both hands extended, the son released a red Force lightning, and the father blocked the force with one hand. He whispered a spell, mobilizing the power behind him... However, he remained tenacious and slowly pushed the lightning back with amazing perseverance. This scene made the son sneer, and a deep red flash appeared in his eyes. His clothes seemed to come alive, turning into black stone armor, automatically clinging to his arms and gradually covering his whole body.

The lightning that shot out from his hands began to change color, becoming more orange-gold, and the blinding light made the father hold his breath as he witnessed the transformation of his son.

The father asked, "Do you really want to be tried again? And risk losing your freedom?"

The son responded with an even stronger "Yes!" His body began to grow rapidly and became more majestic.

"Brother, stop!"

There was a flash of hesitation in the son's eyes, and he glanced at his daughter standing beside him.

"Sister, stay away." The son spat, his eyes full of hostility, "This is a matter between me and our dear father."

However, the daughter did not sit idly by. She gathered orange Force energy and pushed at her son. The son was repelled by the force, but he did not give up. He released a powerful blast of telekinesis and additional energy in an attempt to fight back, even threatening to engulf the entire room.

The daughter tried to steady herself and raised her hands to resist, but the energy rushed directly to her father. Her father stood in front of her, but did not dodge. Instead, he took the attack with strong willpower, and his body trembled slightly under the impact of the energy.

However, all this struggle and resistance seemed to have only created an opportunity for the son. He rushed forward again, his arms surrounded by lightning and orange energy, and hit his father's chest hard.

This sent my father flying through the front door of the monastery and into the air.

"Father!"

The daughter cried out loudly and ran towards her father.

The son turned away and said coldly: "I have always hated you, father."

His voice echoed in the empty monastery, full of determination and ruthlessness.

Vision and Obi-Wan Kenobi arrive at the entrance to the monastery, Vision with the Mind Stone at the ready and Kenobi with his lightsaber. After Ahsoka's kidnapping by her son, reactions are mixed, but it's clear that the best way to respond is to be prepared rather than rushed.

However, to their surprise, the Father flew out of the monastery and landed gently on the ground, with brief flashes of electricity around his body.

Obi-Wan asked in confusion, "What on earth is going on?"

"Dad!" With a cry of surprise, the daughter hurriedly ran down the stairs, ran straight towards them, knelt down and hugged her father's head tightly.

Vision immediately asks what happened, and the daughter looks very upset, placing a hand gently on her father's cheek.

"My brother did it," she said regretfully.

Kenobi wanted to ask for further details, but in the end he just sighed, helped his father up and said, "Come on, let's take him to a place where he can rest."

The three men took their father to his private room and placed him on a raised platform with a diamond symbol painted on it.

Vision asked worriedly, "Is he alright?" From the looks of his daughter's hands glowing and hovering over her father, it seemed to ease his pain.

"We'll let him rest," the daughter replied.

Obi-Wan felt the pressure, however, "But we need to talk to him," he pointed out.

The daughter shook her head and said that now she could only wait for her father to recover.

"But your brother is turning to the dark side," the Jedi argued. "He's taking our friends away. We can't just stand by and watch."

"Maybe he has his reasons," said the daughter, with obvious regret in her tone.

"And what was his motive for trying to murder your father?" Obi-Wan questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"I promise he would never do such a thing," the daughter replied firmly.

"Denial won't solve the problem," Vision interjected, earning confused reactions from Obi-Wan and his daughter. "I was just kidding."

"Now is not the time to joke," the daughter said seriously.

"I know, but you can't deny the consequences of your brother's actions. Your father's life could be in jeopardy because of your brother's actions," Vision pointed out sternly.

The daughter said, “My nature tends toward selfless action, but my brother’s nature always tends toward selfishness.”

Obi-Wan pleaded, "You understand, you have to help us."

"I cannot meddle with the workings of the Force and the galaxy. My father strictly forbids me to do so. We must follow the will and judgment of Arishem," the daughter explained.

Obi-Wan continued, "Your brother will escape and wreak havoc on the universe and this galaxy. The situation is turbulent enough now, and we cannot risk further conflict. You, Anakin, and Vision, the three of you can stop him."

The daughter was silent for a few seconds, staring down at her father who had his eyes closed and his hands on his chest.

She knew she couldn't intervene in the current situation, but that didn't mean there was nothing she could do.

"Come with me." She stood up and left the room, followed by Vision and Obi-Wan.

After several hours of guidance, the daughter finally led the Jedi Knights and Avengers to their destination - a secluded cave some distance away from the monastery.

Entering the cave, they witnessed a scene in the distance: an altar surrounded by turquoise flames. On the wall were a series of symbols that seemed to be in some unrecognizable language and drawings of creatures.

The drawings depict framed beings that appear to be larger than the planets, even larger than the sun. Titanic-sized figures made of unknown colored stones seem to shape the entire universe at their command.

After walking down a long staircase, they arrived in front of the altar, which was composed of several pyramid-shaped objects, with something in the middle.

"I can't go any further," the daughter said, causing the two men to look at her in confusion.

"Why not?" Obi-Wan asked.

The daughter replied: "The things ahead are specially set up so that I can't pass through. This is a kind of protection measure."

Then, turning to the two visitors, she said, "When you approach the altar, it will provide you with what you need."

Obi-Wan said in confusion: "I don't understand..."

The daughter then said, "Whoever can wield the blade can control my brother."

"This blade is an ancient artifact, forged by Arishim thousands of years ago in his trial of my father, my brothers, and me."

It deeply disturbed the Jedi, as they never liked the existence of such a weapon in the first place.

However, what other choice did they have? Obi-Wan jumped off the altar without hesitation and landed nearby. He approached the altar and found that the flames were slowly descending, as if inviting him to enter. They could feel that he was not sent by the gods, and was completely unaffected by them, but was acting out of his own will.

As Obi-Wan approached the mysterious structure, it seemed to open for him, revealing a handle without a blade attached. He raised an eyebrow slightly, confused, but he had a feeling what was about to happen.

He reached out and grasped the handle. From it spewed turquoise flames that formed into a long metal blade, shaped like a short sword or a long dagger.

After getting the dagger, the three of them headed to their son's territory.
